Best Female Jrocker
| This is the best Jrock music I have heard in a long time. Olivia Lufkin is truly amazing. She writes her own songs and the lyrics are beautiful, unique and very deep. This album consists of some great ballads as well as fast jrock songs. I can't find a single song on this CD that I do not like. And I also found this album very healing as well as I have just gone through a rough breakup. If you are looking for something new that will be worth your money. Then buy this now! By the way all the songs on this Olivia's second album is in English. :-) |

A mixture of alternative rock with an angelic voic
|
I've been a fan of OLIVIA since her "My Dear Angel" and "Dress Me Up" singles, mainly due to her AMAZING voice (especially on the high notes) and her songwriting ability. I bought both "Synchronicity" and this album a couple of months ago. After listening to both of them (they have taken up permanent residence in my car's CD changer), I think the shift to the alternative rock genre is a daring, yet welcome move. Rather than settling to be just another pop singer, OLIVIA has ventured into a whole new territory in which very few, if any, Japanese singers can do. If you are into Linkin Park, Incubus or Evanescence, you will definitely like what OLIVIA has to offer. However, if you a pop lover, you might have a hard time taking a liking to the album. Aside from the singles (Sea Me and Into the Stars), I also recommend Celestial Delinquent, Space Halo, SpiderSpins, Under Your Waves, Dreamcamp and Denial. This album has shown OLIVIA can be an excellent singer/songwriter/producer. It's not everyday you can find a singer that has the voice AND the talent. Wonder if she will ever consider coming to North America for a tour?? I have heard her live performance is off the charts... perhaps I need to search out her concert DVD, if any? |

Very good OLIVIA album....
| OLIVIA has a wide variety of music styles, from electronica to rap-rock to alternative, and I am very impressed with this album. My personal favorite track is "Denial", a very dark gothic rock song. WHat else can I say? I like it! ^__^;; |

a must have for rock lover
|
After listening some part of each song I immediatly buy this album, even if it's cost me arount 40 canadian dolard and I must said that it definitly worth it. Alone in our castle have a beautiful melody and such a great atmosphere. Olivia's angelic voice is matching perfectly to the melody. Fake flower begin with an agressive intro but really rock. Blind unicorn have powerful lyrics and such a weird atmosphere and melody, but it's what make the song original and interesting..And I must say this is a really good rock(or even hard rock) song..agressive but well done. devil in me is a more punkish song...but the voice of olivia is a plus that give something new to the music. More quickly, spider spin is a really good song, with a more affordable melody and music. This song could play on radio, not like the others. Finally, under your waves is really like a mix of some bjork melody and some linkin park guitar backplay, a really great mix. I must said that this album has a really high quality and if you like Melissa au der Maur or linkin park(let's say it's a girl whos singing and nooot yelling or rapping(even if she does sometimes)) you will be pleased. I recommended to everyone who want something differents and fresh in the rock music.A must have!!! |

hell yeah
| this album is just mindblowing. i don't know what i was expecting, but it exceeded every preconceived notion i have. some of the lyrics are a little weird...but there are just as many songs with lyrics that are just so intensely beautiful. "sea me", "dreamcamp", "into the stars", "space halo" and "blind unicorn" are my personal favorites right now... |

mostly perfect
| I really love this album, I was directed to this artist through some youjeen fans and I find her style of music to be great. Her songs exhume emotion and have so many layers of sound that it may be messy at first but her pristene voice just slices through it all and creates a really nice song. From what I've heard of her first album I think this album is heavier sounding and more experimental. Songs like Alone in our Castle and Space Halo really show how good her voice is while songs like Blind Unicorn and Under your Waves displays her rockin sound. A few misteps came from Devil's in me and 026unconcious333 which tend to grate a bit. Anyway, good album from a fantastic artist. Highly recommended |

Very disappointed ......
Very disappointed ......

These are my honest words, after having heard her songs in this album. Personally, I really dont think it is good. Most of the songs are in hard rock, and for me they dont sound good; all of them are messy!! She might be talented than others. But as long as her songs continue to be like that, I am not going to buy her cds. Dont say I am bias. I like her previous songs such as Color of Spoon, Sea me, Re-Act so much that I ordered her Album 'Syncronocity' from Japan as Yesasia.com stops selling it. |

I'm speechless...
| This is the first time I've heard of OLIVIA's work and I must say I am very impressed. Her vocals are very unique; from flawless execution of desperate wails to fantastic high notes to soothing sounds, she definitely has a top notch voice. My personal favorite has to be Track 3 (Space Halo), which was a very heavenly, pleasant, and inspiring song to listen to. Other favorites include the remix of SpidERSpins, Under Your Waves, Alone in Our Castle, and many more songs I need to let grow on me on this CD. |

Amazing
| Most of her songs are from her mini albums, but either way, it's beautifully put into this album. She has true talent, I'd like to see her in America - one day, |

Whoa..
| Her vocals are amazing. Her vocals in the song Under Your Waves is just unbeatable. Anybody who thinks ayumi hamasaki or koda kumi sing well...just listen to this gal right here...if you want to hear TRUE vocal talent..and musical talent....It is true she writes all her songs...it says so in her booklet (produced by Olivia, all music & words by Olivia). CRAZY! |
