He is immediately attracted to her and she in turn does not hesitate long before offering the seducer her innocence. She tells him she wants nothing that his money. But upon the return to France. She realizes that she has deliberately refused to face the truth.....

you cant help but be affected by this movie.
the performance of tony leung and jane march is simply amazing.
a chinese man and a young french girl falling in love is what the story is about, but also the social phobias of a cross cultured romance .
the title suggests what it is . two lovers who are bound by their
classes,but when you watch the two lovers together you want them to be together.
the scenes between leung and march are amazing with the chemistry between these two.
name any female who isnt going to dream about being held in tony leungs arms at night

The first English picture Leung acted in Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Pretty good storyline. Tony acts in his first Western picture, although it's no Hollywood, he made himself known throughout the world (through arthouses). Jane March acted pretty good too.
