Taken away at birth and sentenced to a life inside an Iron Mask, Philippe knew nothing of his royal heritage nor the outside world which believed him dead. Now, in a time where the splendor of France wanes as a result of Louis' cruelty and excess, D'Artagnan bands together his most loyal companions to free Philippe and school him in the ways of the King. A grand costume ball, held at the palace, is the chosen as the perfect occasion to substitute Philippe for Louis as the King of France.
