The Melody Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Very satisfying CD. The melodies are very soothing and relaxing for when you're tired. Some the english lyrics are kinda funny, but it still works. My personal favorite track is #10.

its in my bathroom, i hear it every morning! haha :D
its awesome in the morning, because it sounds like rays of the sun touching your face.

really, i mean it.
someone who does not like it has a serious ear problem!
its such cheerful music but then at the same time... melancholic as hell.

Sweet Melody Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
When you get a CD album as good as this one, with excellent uplifting melodies, lovely singing style and a disk full of bliss you could play endlessly - you just delight in giving the full accredited 5 stars, so that hopefully other people will feel confident and enjoy these discovering delights, too. This album "The Melody - Vol 1", just pours out a great set of light rhythms and indie pop, richly and finely written songs that remain as good throughout the duration of the album, and never let up on route. I was certainly a taken by the first main song "Remember", which has a fantastic stay-in-your-head bright and catchy rhythm, that surly this must be the 'single' from the album. Other songs follow on in this style of playful and brightly sweet indie beats, with a mixture of slow and upbeat songs, tinged with slightly melancholic lyrics, but all mainly a positive and life enriching listen. Singer Taru has such a sweet childlike voice, that you will soon fall in love with her singing style quickly. The album's theme is mainly about giving love, waiting for love and the yearnings for never letting the importance of love diminish.

The songs are sung in partial Korean and English and quite a number mainly in English, which creates a more accessible lyric aspect to the songs for many to enjoy. The music is a mixture of light melody, poppy and funky R & B, disco rhythm, funk guitar ballads, soft light rock, a smiggin of folk, but always within "The Melody's" upbeat and light fashion. I really love the songs "Remember" (track 2) with its great uplifting beat and Sergeant Pepper type string sounds which immediately grabs your attention straight away, "Whatever" an great R & B style song, "Paradise" (track 4) with its sweet touching refrain, "Beautiful Day" (track 5), the disco feel funk, "Crazy" (track 7), the wonderful "Doo be rap" (track 8), the melancholic "Love Box" (tracks 9 and 13) and "Crave" (track 12). But all these songs are gems and there really isn't one bad song amongst them. The Melody have been featured in the K-drama series "The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince" drama series (and on the OST), but this CD is the one to get, in how to really appreciate them more thoroughly.

All I can say is, add this gem of a CD to your collection while available, and let "The Melody" not only enrich your listening moments and your day, but give you one of the most beautiful albums you will always return to. This is one fantastic album!
