YesAsia Editorial Description

The Millionaires' Express now comes with original trailers, photo gallery, and interview with Yuen Biao!

Sammo Hung directs an all-star Hong Kong Cinema cast in the delightful action comedy adventure The Millionaires' Express! Hung is Chin, a small-time crook who returns to his hometown of Hanshui with the intent to run a brothel. To get his first customers, he plans to sabotage the Shanghai Express - a luxury train carrying a bunch of millionaires - so that it stops right in the town of Hanshui! But a gang of kung-fu bad guys (led by Dick Wei, Richard Norton, and Cynthia Rothrock) are also aboard the train with an eye on a secret map held by some Japanese passengers (Yasuaki Kurata, Yukari Oshima, and Hwang Jang Lee). And even without these fellows, there's a government agent (Kenny Bee) after Chin, the local fireman-turned-police chief Yuen Biao, and the town's former cops (Eric Tsang, Lam Ching Ying, Mang Hoi, Yuen Wah, and Ng Ma!) who are stuck in jail after robbing the bank! Add a passel of beauties (Olivia Cheng, Rosamund Kwan, Emily Chu), some cameos by Hong Kong Cinema stars past and present, and some fantastic, bone-crunching kung-fu action directed by Sammo Hung, and you have The Millionaires' Express, a truly entertaining Hong Kong Cinema must-see!

Feast for the eyes - Part 2 Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I have to correct some points here regarding the 'cliche' characters of junior Wong Fei Hong for my earlier review. I was over enthusiastic. Jimmy Wang Yu (original one-armed swordsman) actually had a cameo as WFH's father but there was no junior Fong Sai Yuk. Instead it was actually veteran Shek Kin (playing himself as Sifu Shek) and his son, aptly named Kin. Watch the little encounter between these 4 characters in the train when it went through the tunnels. Also worth mentioning when Richard Ng declared himself an undercover agent ( secret Agent #2) for the government , then suddenly 13 more turned up.....

Sammo really have almost 'who's who' in this movie including Dicky Wei (good punch up with Yuen Biao), Kurata encountered Richard Norton (with his famous line "painful??"), Sammo himself with Cynthia Rothrock, Yuen Wah, Eric Tsang, Paul Chong, Walter Cho, Sifu Lau Kar Wing (as well as Yuen Biao & Hsiao Hu performed some amazing flips and jumps from the roof) and ........ find out for yourself.

Feast for the eyes Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
What a gem!! I love it, love it. A Sammo masterpiece on it's own and he has Yuen Biao by his side. Both gave us unbelievable acrobatic/stunt choreography by themselves and those long camera shots did justice to the stunts! Lots of guest appearances by familiar faces like Kurata, Siao Hu, Richard Ng, Lydia Sum, Rosamund Kwan and many regulars previously from Shaw (now with GH). Sammo kicked in some 'cliche' characters with the two junior Wong Fei Hong and Fong Sai Yuk accompanied by their fathers (the latter's father played by veteran Shek Kin). If you're after the regular Sammo comedy humour, don't let this getaway. It's a classic.

All you can eat buffet Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
This movie is in a category of it's own. It doesn't really fit as a period film, or modern day action. The huge cast of characters is overwhelming, however Sammo does a good job of centering the story around his main characters. The strange slap-stick comedy common to Sammo's movies continue to give this movie it's charm. I'm tempted to say Yuen Biao is in his prime or top form for some jaw dropping choreography he pulls in the end battle riga-marole. Just a mish-mash of characters allowing cameos of recognizable actors from that time & the classics.
