A group of intellectuals, who all actively involved in a psychological research, assume a subject Fai, who is innocent and aimless in his life, to test if love can make him into a different person. Jo Jo is the chosen girl to carry out the mission, who attracts Fai with her elegance and beauty. At the same time, she finds herself attracted by him. She wants Professor Cheung, her boyfriend, to stop such a cruel test, but she fails. The final commitment comes when Jo Jo marries to Cheung. Fai interrupts the wedding ceremony in the church by announcing his love to Jo Jo. When he knows the fact, he turns into a man of furious depression. Then he wants to commit suicide in front of Jo Jo and a car accident breaks out, in which Jo Jo is injured and sent to the hospital. Rushing to the hospital, Fai hopelessly puts his proposal ring on Jo Jo's finger, and makes Jo Jo finds out what she really wants.
