Fine action film
| Sporting stylish cinematography and innovative editing, "The Rebel" is a visual delight as it serves up its tale of eye-popping action. While the story is a bit thin (and some of the hair styles are wildly inappropriate for the era depicted in the film), it manages to serve as an effective vehicle for a believable romance, brutal violence, and loads of startling martial arts frenzy. I wasn't sure what to expect from "The Rebel", but I ended up really enjoying it. Highly recommended. |
