The Shaolin Plot (VCD) (Hong Kong Version) VCD

It's all about old-school action in the 1977 Golden Harvest kung fu classic The Shaolin Plot from director Huang Feng (When Taekwondo Strikes, Lady Whirlwind, Hapkido) and producer Raymond Chow. Leading man James Tien shows some of his finest moves in arguably one of his best performances, alongside Sammo Hung (who was also stunt coordinator) and Chan Sing as the bombastic bad guys and Casanova Wong in ultra-kicking mode as a Shaolin monk. Just the all-out action finale by itself marks The Shaolin Plot as one of Golden Harvest's best 70s kung fu outings. Those with sharp eyes can also spot plenty of familiar faces and fighters in the crowd including Yuen Wah, Yuen Biao, Austin Wai, Lam Ching Ying, Tung Wei, and Fung Hak On.

Manchu royal and martial arts master Prince Daglen (Chan Sing) will stop at nothing to achieve his malicious goal of ruling the martial arts world. He sends Gold Cymbles (Sammo Hung) to the Kunlun Sect to seize their martial arts tract, but leader Ku refuses to submit. Ku's son Little Tiger (James Tien) escapes with the tract, but it eventually falls into Gold Cymbles' hands. After acquiring the Kunlun tract, Daglen's next targets are Wudang, then Shaolin. Daglen disguises himself as a monk and infiltrates Shaolin, but Little Tiger discovers his plans and heads to the monastery for a showdown with the prince.

The Prince Daglen (Chen Hsing) is a top martial artist, is planning to subdue all the martial arts schools. First he sent Tibetan Lama Gold Cymbles (Hung Chin-pao) to the Kunlun School to demand the top secret from chief Ku. Ku refuses but loses the fight. However, his son Little Tiger (James Tien) manages to escape with the secret. Little Tiger seeks the protection of Shaolin monk Pu Hui (Chin Kang). The lama injures Pu Hui and gets the secret from Little Tiger. Prince Daglen now goes to Shaolin Temple, he poses himself as a Shaolin monk and gets into the temple to steal the secrets. Little Tiger learns of the Prince's plot by accident. His master Pu Hui sends him to Shaolin to warn the monks. But Daglen has abducted the abbot. He demands the monk trade Shaolin's secrets for the abbot. Little Tiger storms Daglen's palace, to a series of fierce fights with Prince Daglen......
