When Chang Cheh created "heroic bloodshed" swordsman films, he changed martial arts cinema by having more male than female characters in the genre. The Silver Fox is a throwback, the last of its kind where the heroic swordsmen are women. Lily Ho (before she became one of Shaw Brothers' great erotica actresses) portrays the feared swordswoman Silver Fox, who as a child saw her father senselessly wounded and her mother raped. It's 18 years later and it's payback time.

One of Lily Ho's Swords fighting movies when she w

Recently, I went to HK for vacation with my family, I bought this DVD cos it stars Lily Ho and Chang Yi. The story actually is very simple. Lily Ho protrays The Silver Fox and sets revenge for his father 18 years later. I like the part where she disguised as a male scholar, and also Fan Mei Sheng in the movie sing the song called "Mike Chu Ker" I have some old copies of SOUTHERN SCREEN (Shaw's offical Magazine)It reports when Lily filmed this movie, she fell down from a tree and was injured, luckily she was alright. If u are Lily Ho's fans, definitely it will be a collection. |

The silver fox
| This was a '60s swordsplay saga; thus do not expect too much on the action. Just a simple plot and traditional swordsplay...but nice to see glamorous Lily Ho again as the heroine "Silver Fox" with charming Chang Yi. |
