Peter Ho is Sam, an idealistic young reporter who meets wild girl Jane (Fann Wong of Shanghai Knights) while she's grifting money from middle-aged men. He decides to make her the focus of his piece on "lost youth of the nineties", and offers her $3000 to cooperate. She agrees, but the arrangement comes with unexpected results. The young man and woman are from opposite sides of the tracks, have different pasts, and wildly different futures, but somehow romance blossoms in the most unlikely way. The two find understanding and security in each other's arms, but unfortunately, the real world may end up keeping them apart.

Derek Yee breathes real, vibrant life into the characters of The Truth About Jane and Sam, and Peter Ho and Fann Wong turn in remarkable performances for Hong Kong screen newcomers. A great romance movie made in 1999 Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Made in 1999, 'The Truth About Jane & Sam' (Zhen Xin Hua) is still one of the better 'warm great feeling' romance flicks out there. The theme song sang by Peter Ho is very soothing too.

I'm talking about romance movies with no bad guys, no guns, no special effects, no supernatural beings. This is the true holy romance genre.

Purchase it, you won't regret it. Its only US$7.99 if you buy 7 or more DVDs.

the story is very interesting, funny, suspense, romantic, breath-taking, a model movie for all teen-agers up to adults.. adults, teenagers can relate to the story... i learn so many lessons from that story.. when i watched the movie, i was so eager to find out what will happened next.. the characters are very cute, their character fits in their personality... it's a very good movie.. watch it!!!!!!!!

This is an excellent movie which I think all Peter Ho's fans should watch. The store is very positive and encouraging and the theme song sang by Peter Ho is also excellent.
