The Vampire Returns is among the very few TV dramas that Canto pop diva Sammi Cheng has participated in, and is the only costume drama she has taken part so far. While her talent in singing is indisputable, fans would also be surprised to see her demonstrating superb acting skills in playing two twin sisters with contrasting personalities. She joins forces with kungfu actor Chin Siu Ho, who seldom participates in TV dramas, and together they present this very touching love story which has won the applause of many. The theme songs by Sammi Cheng were also big hits of 1993.
The story is set in the late Qing period when ghost-catcher Cheung Ho Yee (Chor Yuen) brings his two disciples Beiping (Chin Siu Ho) and Nanjing (Lai Yiu Cheung) from Beijing to Hong Kong. Ping meets a pair of beautiful twin sisters Piu Hung and Piu Suet (both played by Sammi Cheng) and falls in love with the deceased Suet. Ping later joins the police force and comes across a rich man's daughter Tin Lai (Emily Kwan). Lai loves Ping a lot but Ping remains loyal to Suet. Lai commits suicide and transforms herself as a fierce ghost to revenge on Ping. In order to save Ping, Hung who secretly admires Ping sacrifices her own life...

Well worth watching and yes it is sad but then the plot is really good compared to story plots now...I would recommend people to buy it. |

Rare Sammi tvb series release
| This is such an old series, this series makes me miss the old days and the good tyms when sammi was still young and have alot of youth. She protrays in 3 different characters in this series, She acts as 2 twins sisters, one is a ghost which had a human fell in love with and the other sister which is more an Tom boy character who acts all man. This is one of the series you should watch because its a really interesting story and its also very sad. I really recommend this series for people who loves to watch intersting story and if you like comedy and love stories this is the one for u to buy |
