原本占士受弟弟委託，欲為他帶來一個古董盤，抵達後始知他已遭謀殺。占士隨即從一名政治大使官員杜和一位美麗的考古學家卡特娜口中得悉，那古董盤內藏前往失落文明古都的一半地圖，價值連城。原來富有探險家科倫亦擁有內藏另一半地圖秘密的古董盤。為追尋迷城及弟弟被殺的原因，占士決定與卡特娜、科倫踏上尋寶之旅。可惜，科倫身體不支，加上森林土著及游擊隊的追殺，進退兩難。當他們越接近寶藏所在地，另一個驚人秘密亦漸漸揭開……
Insurance agent James Wheeler bring his brother an antique tray down to Costa Rica. James arrives to find his brother murdered and the next thing James knows he's approached by Government attach? Raul Gato and beautiful archeologist Catheina Carrara, who tell him that the tray he brought is a priceless gold map that may lead them to the last undiscovered city of the Mayan civilization. Caterina adds that the tray, one of two, was made by an imprisoned conquistador named Vivero. James is set upon by the thugs who are after the tray, and he decides to attempt to find the lost city and to join forces with a billionaire adventurer Fallon, instead. By the time the group reaches the lost city, only a few of them are still alive and there has fatal consequences for the remaining members...
