Award-winning Hong Kong actors Jordan Chan and Patrick Tam face off in The Wall, a modern HK Cinema throwback to eighties triad dramas. Jordan Chan is Cho, a recently released ex-con who was imprisoned when he took the heat for a killing performed by his childhood buddy Dik (Patrick Tam). Now free, Cho only wants to be rid of the triad life, but finds himself inexorably drawn back in when Dik reappears. Dik is now a top triad lieutenant, and only wants to repay Cho for his loyalty and friendship. The two reforge their friendship, but it’s an uneasy alliance which is complicated by Dik's seeming enjoyment at the violence of the triad life. Matters reach a head when Cho romances San (Cherrie Ying), the girlfriend of Dik's triad boss, leading to an explosive confrontation between the two longtime friends. Directed with smart, low-key precision by Marco Mak (The Colour of the Truth), The Wall is a tense action drama which recalls the righteous triad dramas of old!

An average triad film Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
This film is OK but I would advise people to rent it out instead cause it isn't one of those type of films that will make you want to watch it again and again.

All in all, you've got to see THE WALL Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
Jordan Chan is a sullen hero of sorts as an ex-con trying to go straight after his release from prison. The plot is similar to many American gangster films from the 1930s and 1940s with a good guy with a criminal past constantly trying to avoid being drawn back into his old gang. Patrick Tam and Simon Lui are good too. Cherrie Ying proves once again that she is on her way to becoming the next actress who can do it all. Very entertaining performances make this film much better than we expected.
