YesAsia Editorial Description

Known in the west as Return of the Dragon, Bruce Lee's The Way of the Dragon is another classic martial arts film featuring the Dragon at the peak of his powers! Bruce Lee is Tang Lung, a Hong Kong expatriate in Italy who gets the opportunity to use his fists when local thugs begin muscling in on the local Chinese restaurant. It's a simple exchange: the thugs set foot in the restaurant, and Tang Lung cuts loose with a flurry of kicks and punches designed to inflict the maximum amount of damage with the minimum amount of effort. Then, more fighting ensues.

The Way of the Dragon co-stars popular starlet Nora Miao, and is a true tour-de-force for Bruce Lee. Not only did he star in the film, but he also wrote, produced, and directed - and this is in addition to his expected action choreography duties. The results of his labor are a wildly entertaining martial arts film that's sure to make kung-fu fans of all ages grin from ear-to-ear. Most famously, The Way of the Dragon features a dramatic showdown between Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris in the confines of Rome's ancient Colosseum!

DUDE BEST BRUCE LEE MOVIE EVER! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
all i have to say is that out of his movies, bruce's best film is the way of the dragon. First off since he directed and wrote it, it really made a lot of sense. it had a better storyline than fist of fury or the big boss. and mostly better than enter the dragon. just buy this movie today and support bruce's family, since brandon is gone, so help linda lee and her daughter folks!

IT'S BRUCE LEE VS. CHUCK NORRIS! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
This was Bruce Lee's only completed film as director (he also wrote it, choreographed it, and even played drums during the opening theme song!) and it's one of the greatest kung fu movie experiences ever. He plays a country bumpkin from Hong Kong who travels overseas to Italy. Some of his distant relatives own a restaurant there and are having trouble with local gangsters who want them to close shop. Can Bruce, a fish out of water who doesn't speak Italian, solve the dispute? Of course he can! He just lets his fists (and feet) do the talking!

This movie has a very warm feel to it as we get to see Bruce's lighter side, as he smiles his way through culture clashes (watching him roll his eyes as someone walks in on him squatting on TOP of a modern day toilet) and we also get to see his fighter side, as he shuffles his way through culture bashes (he fights Italian mobsters, a Japanese karate expert-who's played by the famous Korean Hapkido expert Wong Inn Sik, and two real life karate/tang soo do experts Bob Wall and Chuck Norris from the good old U.S. of A.! There's wall to wall to Roman Coliseum wall action as Bruce uses a staff, two nunchakus, darts, and his entire body to stop these baddies from bothering his kinfolk! It's a great time and not to be missed! (note: the American version of this film is called RETURN OF THE DRAGON as it was released here after ENTER THE DRAGON was such a big hit. This version contains scenes not scene in that version which help make the fish out of water concept make even more sense. There's even nudity! The Cantonese track on this DVD edition sounds a little sharper than the Mandarin for those who are interested. Oh, and Bruce even plays some of the American voices on the Cantonese track!)
