An insightful comedy about love and marriage in modern Hong Kong, The Yuppie Fantasia was a popular hit during its 1989 theatrical run, and is one of many collaborations between Lawrence Cheng and top comedienne Carol Cheng. The Yuppie Fantasia is also known by the alternate title Diary of a Small Man, and was followed by a 1990 sequel called Brief Encounter in Shinjuku.

　　Leung Foon is one of those youthful, upward-moving people. He is 33, middle rung officer of an advertising agency, and has been married eight years to Ann. Q-Taro and Big Cheat, Foon's colleagues and close friends, like to fool around. Q is married to the city shrew while Big Cheat's wife puts him above everything else.
