Michael Hui stars as famous martial arts novelist Ngan, whose successful career leaves him in comfortable retirement, living off publishing rights money and royalties. He focuses all his energy on his daughter, Sophia (Miriam Yeung), who's approaching the ripe age for marriage but has yet to find her soulmate. She however harbors a crush on her boss, famous playboy Frankie (Sean Lau). An incidents leads Frankie to temporarily reside at Sophia's house, and they quickly lovers and plan to get married! Shocked, Ngan decides to intervene...who will Sophia choose? The lover or the father?

Famous novelist Ngan (Michael Hui) is leading a comfortable life living on the royalties of his published novels. He has now placed all his attention onto his daughter Sophia (Miriam Yeung). Sophia has reached a suitable age for marriage and is still searching for her Prince Charming. She has a crush on Frankie (Lau Ching Wan), her boss and a playboy.
Due to some accident, Frankie decides to stay at Sophia's home for a while, Then, Sophia and Frankie became lovers and are planning to get married! Ngan Loves his daughter so much that he knows he must destroy their love before it is too late. Sophia must make a life and death decision between Frankie and her father.....

how can this be a movie?
| They can't be serious and call this a movie . . pure torture to watch it. Very low budget. Do not buy this. this kind of movie and others like it need to be boycotted. |

I was expecting to find something funny from this film. The crews are so talented, however this film is so BORING!!! You can classify this film as one of those GARBAGE HONG KONG MOVIE. Very disappointed with it. If the script is no good, why wasted time to make a movie??? sorry... |

| I think those people that said the movie is not good, becuz they just don't get the movie. Ya should watch it again and really pay attention to the movie you will eventually get it. Miriam is funny and ya should get this movie. |

Wasted
| I wasted an hour watching this movie and didn't bother finishing it. I really like Miriam and Sean, and I was hoping to see some plot developments. Sadly, my hopes were crushed. This movie is so pointless that I was wondering what the heck I was watching after half an hour into the movie. Some Hong Kong movies can work without a plot and ride on its silly comedic moments throughout the 90 minutes, but this movie obviously couldn't. Utterly disappointed was the only thing in my mind when I turned it off without bothering to watch the ending. |
