CCTV's grand period fantasy drama Tian Xian Pei tells the classic tale of a love that moves the heavens. The drama is adapted from a Zhou Zhuojie novel which is itself based on the well-known Chinese folk tale of Dong Yong and the Seventh Princess. Screen couple Yang Zi and Eva Huang (Kung Fu Hustle), pairing up again after Tai Tou Jian Xi, portray the storied protagonists. The other six heavenly princesses are embodied by Hong Kong stars Ada Choi and Kristy Yang and Mainland actresses Hu Ke, Wen Qing, Wang Siyi, and Zheng Qing. Tian Xian Pei revolves around mischievous immortal Seventh Princess who sneaks to the mortal world for fun and falls in love with a kind-hearted young man, Dong Yong. Defying the divine rules laid down by time, the fated couple must overcome jealous rivalries and the wrath of heaven to protect their love.

　　天庭的七仙女嚮往人間生活，便悄悄與王母的義女張巧嘴偷下凡間。下凡之後，七仙女遇到了熱心幫助劉小俠的董永，產生好感。為了留在人間，七仙女與張巧嘴又調皮地逼槐樹精假扮她們的父親，並組成一個家庭。玉帝得知女兒私自下凡，命令雷公電母前往捉拿。董永賣身葬父到傅家為奴，七仙女和張巧嘴同時愛上了他。同時，紈絝子弟傅官保看上了七仙女，多次提親未果。無奈之下，傅官保想出一個狠毒的調包計。結果張巧嘴陰差陽錯地嫁進了傅家，七仙女與董永在歷經艱險之後終成眷屬。張巧嘴因七仙女嫁給了董永而對其懷恨在心，向玉帝告密七仙女在人間成婚。玉帝大怒，命托塔李天王率五萬天兵天將下凡捉拿七仙女。七仙女為保董永性命，只得返回天庭，董永卻從此神智不清。張巧嘴試圖接近癡顛的董永，卻被清醒後的董永嚴詞拒絕。皇帝聽傅官保說董永家有寶物，便命董永獻寶，並封其為官。此時天庭之上，在王母及六位姐姐等人的幫助和保護下，七仙女產下一男嬰，玉帝也不得不接受這一事實。最後，玉帝為七仙女和董永真摯的愛情所打動，同意七仙女留在人間與董永相伴一生，成就了他們驚天動地、泣鬼神、動人心的美好愛情。
