1982's Till Death Do We Scare combines the artistic skills of Olivia Cheng (honored as Miss Hong Kong in 1979) and Canto-pop's forever young entertainer Alan Tam (crowned with the Golden Horse Best Actor trophy in 1981 for his role in If I Were Real). Also featuring Eric Tsang, the movie revolves around Bruce Yu (Tam) and Bibot Tam (Tsang), the hosts of the "Midnight Bizarre Chat" who have to think of a way to rekindle interest for the program as its popularity goes downhill. Everything becomes more complicated when attractive Irene Wen (Cheng) enters the scene. The spirits of her former three husbands, none of whom survived her endless fault-finding, try to introduce a new partner to her and seem to have found the perfect match in Bruce. As expected, the two fall in love at first sight, but Irene's ex-husbands start to worry that Bruce may follow in their footsteps, and decide to double their efforts to separate the two lovebirds...

Alan's radio programme "Scary Ghost Stories" is a flop. Even a three-year old kid laughs at how funny it is. Regardless of how hard his partner Eric tries to inspire him, they never click. On the other hand, an atractive lady marries three times consecutively to a godfather, a movie-star and a preacher. At the death of her third husband. She drinks heavily to pass the time. Her three late husbands' spirits who live under the same roof of their lovely widow are worried about her well-being. They decide to find her a companion, Alan, whose radio programe is a turn-on to three spirits. They succeed in their scheme and on their wedding day, the three spirits discover that their widow is a jinx to any man who attempts to consummate the marriage……
