April 2, 2008 A DisappointmentThe basic premise of this story is too far fetched. For example, I could not believe a wealthy prominant man who could sincerely love a boy whom he adopted when the boy was twelve years old yet capable of totally abandoning his biological children whom he had shared twelve happy years with and continued to do so after learning the hardship they had gone through. A man who is capable of doing the first could not be capable of doing the second. The conclusion of this drama did not resolve the multiple conflicts presented in this drama and so it was a disappointment for me. There were many scenes that were used to fill up time which caused the drama to be somewhat slow and boring. Kim Rae Won was very good and he played his role well. However, I felt Jeong Ryeo Won could be better and therefore could have made the drama better. She played her country role by acting childlike which to me was not the same.

Again, these two stars were awesome and gave a stellar performance! However, I didnt like this drama. There were beautiful and delightful moments between the two main characters, Jung-Suh (CJW) and Song-Joo (KSW), who were beautiful people in this drama, but I hated the rest of the characters. The mean wicked step-mother and step-sister were too despicable. Jun-Suhs father was too pathetic to be a father. The step-brother who supposedly loved Jung-Suh was more self-serving than love until he redeemed himself later on. In addition, it was unreal for Song-Joos mother who knew and loved Jung-Suh as a child to treat her that way in the drama. The story dragged and dragged. March 19, 2007 A MasterpieceWow, what a drama - very intense, very heart-wrenching, yet very beautiful and very satisfying! Kwon Sang Woo is not only handsome, he has charisma and he is an extremely talented actor. Kim Hee Soon and Yeon Jung Hoon are also terrific in their roles. All three stars have great chemistry together as friends and lovers which raise this drama to another level. Their superb performance makes the charactors real. Most dramas I either fast forwarded or badly wanted to. Some I could not endure beyond a couple of episodes. This one I am watching it again. The characters are totally based on the theroy that people are products of their environment and upbringing. You can't help but fall in love with sweet Sun-Mi (Chae Rim) and sophisticated Hyung-Chul (Jang Dong Gun), despise wicked Young-Mi (Kim So Yeon), and pity poor Woo-Jin (Han Jae Suk). Spring Waltz Classic OST (KBS TV Series)
November 20, 2006 A Beautiful StoryI love this very sad yet very beautiful love story. The main actor and actress were so suited for each other that I can't imagine them being with anyone else. Both of them were attractive in a natural way. The supporting actress someone I truly dislike. This means that all three did an excellent acting job in their roles. I found while Daniel H. was charming, he was not suited for his role becuase he spoke way too much English and not nearly enough Korean (fyi, I do not speak Korean). To me, his English speaking was fine for his role in My Name is Kim Sam Soon but not in this one.
The episodes on the main charactors' childhood were rather slow and lengthy, but you will understand why they are necessary when you finish the drama. The music was great and the sceneries were terrific too. Unfortunately, my copy had very poor English subtitles and picture quality. I recommend that you wait to watch this drama until you have a good one if you need English subtitles. I hope Yesasia.com will have one for sale soon.Did you find this review helpful?
