It's watchable Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
Borrowed it from my bro... The thing with Chinese movies is that you really don't know what to expect just by reading the plots. You get more of a picture by finding out who the actors are (they're usually typecast into a specific genre, more or less). That said, it was a watchable film. Yes, you have to agree with all the previous comments. Plot's not so great - pretty difficult to follow all the twists and turns so I didn't even bother - but if you just watch it then it's not so bad. And much can be said about directing/editing/effects but I'm no expert so whatever. The Japanese actors are quite fine (Nakamura Toru lol). Tony Leung's character is eh but I like him... I also liked the ease of Ekin Cheng in this movie as well. Not a huge fan of Kelly Chen (sp?) for her look or whatever, but she wasn't repulsive either; I'm just a hater of the "girl needs saving" role that Asian movies ascribe female roles to (which, for that reason, is why Red Cliff is a good recent movie - nice plug eh).

Borrow it - spend no more than $10 on it. I've seen much, much worse movies as of late (like the past ten, fifteen years or so).

Very disappointing. Very, very disappointing Customer Review Rated Bad 2 - 2 out of 10
I’m completely gobsmacked! On the one hand, I’m kind of a fan of Tony and Cecilia. On the other, let’s just say I’m not exactly the greatest fan of Ekin and Kelly. Again, another movie with an all star cast, in this case, a very attractive (apart from Kelly) all star cast but unfortunately the acting is very shallow (apart from Tony) – how shallow you might ask? It’s pretty bad actually (Ekin? Enough said). The ridiculous and patchy plot didn’t help the films cause either (I kind of started to loose interest 10 minutes into the film) and this pretty much summed up the whole film. On the bright side, the fight scenes in some parts were ok and the music pretty good, very good actually, so I’ll give credit for that. If you’re the type of person who likes these type of hyped up, brainless, put an “all star cast to try and save a film from its poor plot and extract as much cash from the public as possible while you're in the process” type of film then go ahead and join the queue but my recommendation is to stay far, far away.

Atrocious is an understatement! Customer Review Rated Bad 1 - 1 out of 10
There is no way to describe the quality of this movie except that it gives a whole new definition to the word horrible. The plot is so lame and full of holes that it’s impossibly hard to follow. The acting, except for Tony Leung’s part, is so bad that you can’t even describe it as acting. The fight scenes are totally ruined by poor camera views and annoying slow motions.
This movie is only enjoyable if you have the brain capacity of a three year old.

General Impression Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I really enjoyed this movie. Tony Leung did a great job but Ekin Cheng made a better impression on me. I guess it may have been the character he was playing but it was a nice surprise that he was a private detective. As for the romance, there isn't much of it in this movie. It's only vaguely implied.
