I admit it does level off at the middle a little but picks it up with good finish. Actors in this film are really good and Ji-Eun makes me want to give her a big hug after the three bears bit. June 2, 2007 Mediocre at bestFirstly i wanted to know if this version is 44 chapters or the 40. I have watched the full 44 chapter version and i got to say i'm a bit dissapointed. The acting wasn't amazing and the best was probabaly to my surprise Gillian Chung who has improve immensely since the last time i saw her but still quite far from being considered a real actress. Wong Jing has played around with these movie too much, much like the duke of mount deer 2000 from the original and i'm one of those people who thinks he did a bad job in doing it. Don't get your hopes up for this series and after the lovey dovey bit with Gillian up to chapter 30, i did begin to lose interest, especially the young miu yurk lan, which annoyed the hell out of me and even when she is older she still annoying. December 3, 2005 Hmmm Sounds familiarThis seems like a cheap rip off of princess Huai Yu, the story is so simliar, princess from previous dynasty with same personailty saved by the enemies general, a king who is unhappy, his rival is also the son of a baron, the queen being too protective over her niece, even the name of the charactors are simliar. Think we have finally got it into TVB's head now, dat DVDs are the only way to go about it if they are gonna release their tv series to the public and not vcd. The quality of vcd is poor and they cut half of the film off whats the pt in buyin it then? but now they have manage to solve half of the problem and it will take them probably another 10yrs to figure out maybe the public wanna watch the whole tv series rather a cut one.
N e way this tv series is probably one of the best TVB have made in last 3 or 4 years, although i think Louis Koo wasn't really comfortable as the main charactor and wasn't his best performance but still okay to watchDid you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
