《男人之苦》第34集。話說一天，寅（渥美清飾）飲飽食醉無錢埋單，幸得身旁飲悶酒的股票經紀健吉（米倉齊加年飾）為他解圍，逃過一難。翌日，寅拿著香蕉去健吉的公司謝恩，驚見對方朝六晚十二地工作，而且要花四小時車程來回上班，深感白領階級搵食艱難之餘，亦認為他浪費了家裡的嬌妻藤子（大原麗子飾）。幾日後，寅突然收到藤子的口訊，說健吉突然消失了！藤子毫無頭緒，呆等丈夫歸來，寅陪她度過苦悶的日子，甚至跟她去了健吉的故鄉鹿兒島碰運氣。結果，人找不到，寅卻動了真情，甚至暗暗希望健吉從此消失……愛到如此黑心，莫非寅今次玩認真？！特別一提，片頭例牌的「寅次郎之夢」愈玩愈精采，今集扮《星戰》，再cross-over《哥斯拉》，抵死爆笑，亦盡顯當時日本的科幻、怪獸熱。
The 34th instalment in the Tora-san series. Tora-san spends several days at the home of a hard-working salaryman, who abruptly disappears. When the man's wife (Reiko Ohara) asks Tora-san to help find him, they travel to Kagoshima where Tora-san falls in love with her, and secretly hopes the husband (Masakane Yonekura) will not be found. Girara, the star of Shochiku's The X from Outer Space (Uchu daikaiju Girara, 1967), makes a cameo appearance in this film.

Tora meets a salaryman
|
"Tora-San's Forbidden Love", the 34th film in this series, tells of the plight of the Japanese salaryman. After squabbling with his family, Tora heads to a yakitori restaurant to drown his sorrows in sake. There he meets Tominaga (Yonekura Masakane), a section chief in a big securities company. (Yonekura previously appeared in several Tora-san films as Shibamata's ineffectual police officer.) Tominaga is astonished that the penniless Tora is ordering expensive food and drink with every expectation that his family will pay for it. Tominaga pays Tora's bill on his way out the door. Tora visits Tominaga's company to thank him with a small gift and to invite him out for drinks. Seeing the fish-out-of-water Tora in the fast-paced, high tech world of securities trading yields big laughs. After a night on the town, Tora wakes to find himself alone in Tominaga's home with Fujiko, Tominaga's wife (Ohara Reiko). Fujiko tells Tora of Tominaga's gruelling schedule; he heads to work at 6 a.m. and often doesn't return until 10 p.m. He seldom has any time for Fujiko or their adorable son. Tora, smitten by the beautiful Fujiko, hurriedly leaves so as not to spur ill-founded rumors of an affair among the neighbors. Tominaga, who grew up near the mountains and sea in Kyushu, yearns to be free of his treadmill existence. One day, on his day to work, he simply disappears. Tora and Fujiko head off in pursuit of him. Will they find him? Tora is torn by his feelings for Fujiko; he wants to help her find her husband, but does he really hope that Tominaga will be found? This is the simple story told by "Tora-San's Forbidden Love" and it is told with all of the heart and humor we expect of director Yamada Yoji's fine films. I must also mention the movie's hilarious opening dream sequence which spoofs Japanese monster movies in general and the Shochiku studio's lone attempt at a monster movie in particular. I recommend "Tora-San's Forbidden Love" very highly. |
