The sequel to Rich and Famous finds hero Chow Yun Fat returning as righteous triad boss Li Ah Chai. Li seeks to avoid violence in order to safeguard his wife and child, but a vicious rival (Alex Man) sees to it that Li's pacifism is also his downfall. Down but not out, Li returns to action when a web of triad intrigue and betrayal threatens his friends and family and also his very principles. Kok and Yung were raised up together and like brothers. They are assistants of Chai, a native of Chiu Chow, a leading man in the underworld. However a misconception broke out which overshadwoed the relation amongst the three of them. It made Chai and Yung divergence, Kok went to Malacca nd Yung went after Chu Lo Dai, the business partner of Chai.
