Looking to reward longtime fans anxious for a faithful adaptation, the filmmakers cast voice actor Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, the character he originated on the popular eighties cartoon series. An eons-old war has been brewing between rival factions of a techno-organic alien race, and the planet Earth is now the battleground! The noble Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, seek a fabled relic called the All-Spark in order to destroy it, as it possesses the power to remake the Earth into a replica of the Autobots' doomed world, Cybertron. But the evil Decepticons, led by the diabolical Megatron, seek the All-Spark to create a new home planet - with the sacrifice of all human lives as the cost! Young Sam Witwicky (Shia Lebeouf) may possess the key to the All-Spark's location, but his greatest priority is buying his first car to impress the hottest girl in the school, Mikaela (Megan Fox). However, Sam's first car turns out to be more than meets the eye when it transforms from a dinged-up Chevy Camaro into the Autobot spy Bumblebee, just in time to save Sam from Barricade, a vicious Dececpticon disguised as a police cruiser...
