A special effects film like no other, Transformers brings the popular Hasbro toy line to amazing, realistic life. Producer Steven Spielberg and director Michael Bay were the creative minds behind this record-breaking summer blockbuster, featuring eye-popping visual effects, thrilling action sequences, and peerless spectacle. Looking to reward longtime fans anxious for a faithful adaptation, the filmmakers cast voice actor Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, the character he originated on the popular eighties cartoon series. Matrix actor Hugo Weaving was brought on board to voice villain Megatron, while rising star Shia Lebeouf (Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull) takes on the central role of young Sam Witwicky, the human teenager who becomes the Autobots' staunchest ally. Rounding out the cast is an eclectic mix of Hollywood pros and young faces, including Jon Voight, Megan Fox, John Turturro, Josh Duhamel, and Bernie Mac.

An eons-old war has been brewing between rival factions of a techno-organic alien race, and the planet Earth is now the battleground! The noble Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, seek a fabled relic called the All-Spark in order to destroy it, as it possesses the power to remake the Earth into a replica of the Autobots' doomed world, Cybertron. But the evil Decepticons, led by the diabolical Megatron, seek the All-Spark to create a new home planet - with the sacrifice of all human lives as the cost! Young Sam Witwicky (Shia Lebeouf) may possess the key to the All-Spark's location, but his greatest priority is buying his first car to impress the hottest girl in the school, Mikaela (Megan Fox). However, Sam's first car turns out to be more than meets the eye when it transforms from a dinged-up Chevy Camaro into the Autobot spy Bumblebee, just in time to save Sam from Barricade, a vicious Dececpticon disguised as a police cruiser...

 Transformers Are Over-The-Top Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Best Sci-Fi Movie of all time. That utilizes cutting- edge graphics technology. If you have seen the animated series then it helps to know why things happen as they do. It's worth watching over and over again. Personaly I have watched it about 12 times already and still find it overwhelming. Happy Viewing

 Robots in Despise Customer Review Rated Bad 1 - 1 out of 10
1) Blackout was so hard to kill at the beginning of the show. Every hit he makes carries an electro wave that wipes out any obstacles ie tanks and planes. Towards the end he was shooting bullets only!!

2) Megatron bashed Optimus Prime like a kid. (Before they fought, Optimus (truck)was coming out in slow mo)

3) 80% of this movie was focusing on humans not robots

4) Autobots were running away shouting "Megatron" is here. But later they appeared out of nowhere and said to the boy, "Don't worry Sam, we will protect you"

5) All Decepticons were killed by humans except Bonecrusher who was killed by Optimus Prime.

6) They did upclose in most of the fighting scenes and thus you cannot see clearly whether the robots are fighting or making out.

Rent this movie and see for yourself. I only remember "The Rock" by Michael Bay and "The Island" was not so bad either but Transformers sucks.
