YesAsia Editorial Description
Rising stars Park Shin Hye and Lee Wan first appeared on the small screen together in 2003 as Choi Ji Woo and Shin Hyun Jun's younger counterparts in Stairway to Heaven. Though they only featured for the first few episodes, the two young actors left a deep impression on viewers with their debut performances, and have since become stars in their own right. In 2006, director Lee Jang Soo followed up Stairway to Heaven with Trees in Heaven, this time with Lee Wan and Park Shin Hye as the leads.
Co-produced with a Japanese production company, Trees in Heaven was shot completely in Japan, and features a cast of both Korean and Japanese actors. Park Shin Hye and Lee Wan received a lot of praise for mastering their Japanese dialogue, and the drama significantly raised their international profile when it was aired in Japan. A picture-perfect Korean Wave drama in every sense, Trees in Heaven follows a heartwrenching romance born in the beautiful snowscape of Japan.
Bright and optimistic Japanese teenager Hana (Park Shin Hye) lives at a small hot springs inn owned by her mother. When her mother decides to marry a Korean man, she tries her best to reach out to her odd, introverted stepbrother-to-be Yun Suh (Lee Wan), who likes to walk barefoot in the snow. He rebuffs her initial efforts, but her cheer eventually wins him over. With their parents on honeymoon, Hana and Yun Suh stand up to Hana's spiteful aunt (Chung Kim) and cousin Maya (Asami Reina) together, and the two develop an increasingly close relationship over time. Yun Suh is forward in his love for Hana, but despite feeling the same way, she cannot accept a sibling romance. After graduating high school, she leaves for Tokyo with her admirer Asahi Uchida (Fujiwara Ryu), and loses contact with Yun Suh. Years later, Hana, Yun Suh, and Maya meet again. Time has led them down very different roads, but the love and the rivalry remain the same.

Product Information
Director: Lee Jang Soo
One afternoon when there was a very heavy snowstorm, Hana, (18, 11th grade in high school) was sitting on the 2nd floor restaurant where one can see the airport runway from a distance.
It was the day that her mother was coming back with her new husband from Korea. Hana, who was waiting in the airport, saw a snowman that someone had made. It was a snowman that was in the midst of all the snow that fell around it… Hana went to the 1st floor and there was her mother with her new father. Hana greeted him, and then turned her gaze to the snowman outside. At that moment, her new father called someone over. The guy turned around to see her. Her mother introduced him to her as her new brother. Yoon-seo… The moment she saw his empty stare with snow all around his body, her heart began to beat fast. Her warm breath blew out of her mouth in a white mist.

I've just received mine today and i'm so happy The box is really 100 times better than expected!!!! I loved the drama, i'm not a big fan of winter sonata or stairway to heaven... But a friend told me about this one and O_O i was in love i cried i laughed, the end was unexpected i hoped it would have been different, but still its really great its only 10episodes but its really enough It didnt get boring or too long, wich happened a lot with korean dramas sometimes ^^" |

I am very pleased with the original sound track CD. The booklet it came with had lovely pictures of Park Shin Hye and Lee Wan. The music and songs went perfect with the story. It could still bring tears to my eyes when I listened and more touched as I knew how the story went. I would look forward to see more of Park and Lee Wan,they were so natural ,very good actors. And I must said the insertion of little dialogues in the sound track were clever and effective.I thoroughtly enjoyed the drama and the OST, just wished that the ending was less cruel. |

I really liked this drama by the way...the ending could've been better but it is still worth watching. I got two my little brother and sister by the age of 12 and 13 stayed up and finish it with me within a day and they loved it, too. They both thought it was better than snow queen. I bought mine from PMP Entertainment and picture/subtitle is an A quality. The ost is also great! |

Exceptional acting from both Park Shin Hye and Lee Wan. I had watched many Korean dramas, it is the first time I am impressed by the quality and skill of these two actors. The ending could be better, all the build up, not even a kiss, it is just too painful. |

I thought this was one of the better dramas. I watch A TON of Kdramas and this has got to be one of my favorites. If you love sad melodrama you'll love this one! |
