Nanairo no Ashita - Brand New Beat / Your Color (Japan Version)
(13)Our Price: US$13.49Usually ships within 7 daysMarch 21, 2006 Great singleThis is one of BoA's better singles, in my opinion. OUTGROW was an album where BoA attempted to show her mature side. This is good and all, but I feel that she tried too hard. The Nanairo no Ashita/ Your Color single shows BoA's maturity while utilizing her young voice.
Truthfully, I didn't like the sound of Nanairo no Ashita ~brand new beat~ at first. After a second listen, however, I found that it was a lovable track. It is very catchy, and BoA's English is definately improving. In my opinion, Nanairo no Ashita ~brand new beat~ is the better half of the single.
Your Color is a track that I personally cannot stand. It's got that BoA sound to it, but I feel that this sounds like your typical ballad. There were some good sounds, but I feel that Your Color is a little.. eccentric (compared to some of the other ballads). The N3 theme, "Your Color" is a ballad that isn't for everybody.
Overall, I think the single is great. Nanairo no Ashita/Your Color ranks as one of my top five favorites, among Everlasting and Quincy. This single is a great item for fans of BoA. I suggest that new comers buy this single along with BoA's Best of Soul compilation or K-Pop Selection compilation.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Koe (Japan Version)

November 19, 2005 KoeAmano's newest single, Koe (that can also be found in Rei 3/~shisei no koe~) is great. What I found odd was that I enjoyed Moe a little more than Koe.
Koe (Voice)- A great song. The lyrics are really heavy. This track has a unique blend of rock and ballad. The one flaw is that when Amano began at the beginning of the last chorus ("Noburu, noburu, taiyou ga.. Watashi wo basho no jouka suru..."), she was a bit off-key. Of course, this minor flaw was overshadowed by the superiority of the previous vocals.
Moe (Infatuation)- I loved this track. This track is a parody of Koe. Moe is an upbeat track. The only thing is that the lyrics don't hit as hard as Koe's... Personally, I loved the transitions between phrases in the song.
Overall Rating of 'Koe' by Tsukiko Amano- Overall, a great single. It is worth buying. The pros outweigh the cons greatly. I would suggest this single to any fan of Amano who hasn't already purchased the CD. For newcomers, I would suggest buying the single along with one of Amano's older albums such as 'Sharon Stones'.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
