Life is full of funny surprises and Canto-pop singer Gigi Leung and Takeshi Kaneshiro are about to find out just how wonderful this can be in Turn Left Turn Right! Co-directed by Johnny To and Wai Ka Fai, this urban fairytale is based on Jimmy Liao's best-selling illustrated book.

Gigi Leung plays Eve Choi, a professional translator who is tired of translating only cheap literature, while Takeshi Kaneshiro plays John Liu. a passionate violinist who can't find an audience. These two lonely, quirky souls live right next to each other in adjoining buildings, divided only by a wall, but yet they never cross paths because one of them always turns left, while the other always turns right. Everything seems to take a miraculous turn after their first encounter in a park. But as luck would have it, an afternoon shower cuts their rendezvous short and they lose contact with each other. Will the two ever meet again?

　　迷宮般的城市中，劉智康(金城武飾)是小提琴家，蔡嘉儀(梁詠琪飾)靠翻譯寫作維生，兩人住在同一公寓大樓，一牆之隔，卻不曾相遇。他總是習慣向左走，而她卻慣性地向右走。茫茫人海之中，兩個人的相遇，是機緣巧合還是命中註定的緣份？

　　兩個寂寞的都市男女，雖處身於很現實的環境中，但仍堅持理想，對愛情充滿盼望。英俊而略帶憂鬱的康，常為引來遭女子的暗慕而煩惱，反而他的音樂卻被人忽略。儀醉心於翻譯情詩，但為了生活，常被迫翻譯通俗恐怖小說，且因過份投入而往往弄得精神緊張。

　　兩人不曾相遇卻不斷擦身而過，這麼近，那麼遠，總是稍欠那點點就會碰到。終於，在水池的一端，他們遇上了。兩人一見投緣，有如一對失散多年的戀人，一同渡過了一個快樂及甜蜜的下午。忽然下起傾盆大雨，兩人匆忙交換了電話號碼，倉惶但興奮地分手。不知是否天意弄人，兩人的電話號碼，在濕透的紙上化作一片……

　　John Liu (Takeshi Kaneshiro) is an aspiring violinist; Eve Choi (GiGi Leung) is a professional translator. Living in the same apartment building and separated by one thin wall, John and Eve may have brushed shoulders in crowds a hundred times, but somehow their paths never really cross.

　　Like millions living in a large city. John and Eve lead lives of wistful solitude. Women flock to John like bees to honey but what he truly longs for is to meet that special someone who will appreciate his music, not just his face. Eve's true passion is translating love poems by poets around the world, but on most days she is stuck translating cheesy novels and cheap thrillers.

　　One day, while walking around a circular fountain in the park, they finally bump into each other...literally. Just like a pair of long-lost lovers, John and Eve spend a beautiful afternoon together. A sudden shower cuts the encounter short. They exchange phone numbers and quickly run home. Yet fate plays a cruel joke on them, the rain has soaked through their precious scrap of paper and the phone numbers are hopelessly smudged...
