Lawyer Xinyi (Liu Zi) and businessman Jiankang (William So) are a happily married couple, with great careers respectively. Jiankang has been very protective of Xinyi ever since the mysterious death of her father five years ago. Because of an accident, Xinyi's college boyfriend Junyong (Leo Ku) re-enters her life. Junyong is at a low point in his career and the added knowledge that his former girlfriend is now someone else's wife only throws him into further despair, as he remains oblivious to the affections of his good friend Cun (Miriam Yeung) who has been there for him all along. Junyung's appearance also puts the jealous and suspicious Jiankang on the edge, causing Xinyi's perfect marriage to crack. As the web of jealousy and deceit builds, true personalities rear heads and secrets from the past come back to destroy lives in the present.

This tragic drama series tells a sad story about the relationship of a young couple gone sour with the evils of suspicion and jealousy. Hong is an intelligent young man who lives happily with his beloved wife Yee until Yee's ex-boyfriend Yung comes back. The couple's relationship is jeopardized when Hong suspects Yee is going around with Yung. Hong's jealousy and suspicion gradually go out of control and turns him into a psycho. In the end, he ruins the life of all his beloved ones, including his own son.
