She's done it again. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Full of happy, uplifting emotional songs, I personally love this album. I think people who have given it a bad review are just too surprised by Hikki's talent. This is an amazing album. The standout tracks for me are Keep Tryin', Nichiyou No Asa and Be My Last. I love this album, and I hope that alot of other people feel the same way I do about it.

Beautiful! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I believe that the only bad reviews of this cd are because people didn't expect it to be so different. This is one of those cd's that you have to give your undivided attention to and listen 3 or 4 times to really appreciate it. I've listened to pretty much all of her other work and personally I think it has all been building up to this. All the songs are heartfelt and pure. A couple of them might even bring you to tears. There are very few cds I can put in and listen through the entire album without wanting to skip through tracks, and this is definitely one of them. The flow of the album goes up and down so you don't get bored of slow songs like a lot of other cds I have. She is the only vocalist that could ever pull off any of these songs. Her voice is so perfect. I will admit that I didn't care much for Exodus, mainly because it just seemed fake to me. This is a HUGE improvement and just what I expected after something like Exodus. I hope maybe she has learned from the last one. This definitely gives me renewed hope for my favorite singer.

This customer review refers to Utada Hikaru - ULTRA BLUE (Korean Version)
Its so-so Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
Well, I only liked 3 tracks. Passion, Colors, and This Love. She could do better though. When I listened it on the car my mom told me to shut it off since she said it sounded bad. I also agree to it. I hope there will be better tracks in the future. I personally Like her older songs.

I'll give it an other try... Customer Review Rated Bad 0 - 0 out of 10
I can't really say that this album is bad. But it's difinitely not Utada. It's not good enough to be from her. I didn't like any her singles in here. "Passion" being the worse. Not really sure if I can really call that a song. It sounds more like a combination of scatterred notes without any distinctive melody. Maybe this is new style of music. But I don't like it. I've been following her career since "Automatic" and find that her music has changed (or deterioated, your choice) a great deal since "Deep River"... "Colors" being an exception. But tracks like "Be my last", "Passion", "Dareka no Negai ga Kanau Koro ", all her songs from "Exodus" (with the exception of "Exodus 04'" and "Kremlin Dusk") are just torture to the ears. I'm not looking forward to her new single "Boku wa Kuma". It'll probably be just like "Wings"..But she has written many good music in the past and I think I'll give her another chance. But if it's as bad as I think, it'll be the last thing I buy from her. There's a limit to being faithful....

Something new Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Utada's style of music has changed throughout the years, and I still remain a fan. Most folks have rough oppinions about her after Exodus, (which I thought was pretty good. Perhaps I'm losing my mind?) but I still love her music. This album gives a completely new side of Utada contrasting to her hiphop years, and the new tracks are very well composed and written. I thought songs such as 'blue' and 'be my last' were more relaxing. It's also good to see her singles finally put onto the album such as 'keep tryin' , 'wings', and 'colors'. This album is worth your money, I highly recommend it!

disappointing... Customer Review Rated Bad 2 - 2 out of 10
I was always a big fan of Utada until her american CD which I think is really bad. Yes, compared to the american CD, this album has improve a lot, but still not as good as deep river.
Some songs have beautiful melody then the chlorus' s melody goes bad, and it just ruins all. Utada' s voice is really ennoying when she does those high pitched notes. There' s always something that ruin the whole song in every songs... Something I just don' t like. I' m really disappointed at Utada, because her style changes from great to bad. And so does her lyrics that are not as good as before.

THE ONLY NEGATIVE IS THAT THEY ARE NOT ALL THE UNPUBLISHED SONGS, BECAUSE 4 YEARS ARE LONG TIME, AND UTADA TO MAKE THE 13 SONGS UNPUBLISHED, NONSINGLES ALREADY PUBLISHED. IN AIM I BELIEVE THAT THE PROMOTION IN ASIA IS THERE THUS. HERE IN SPAIN IT IS NOT

Imaginative and Fresh. Bravo! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Finally, after a tremendously long wait, hikaru releases her 4th album. ULTRA BLUE shows huge improvements in creativity and song creation. This time, all tracks are written, composed, and arranged by hikaru, an amazing accomplishment. But to create songs yourself isn't enough, they also have to provide a good listening experience, and this album does that. The songs are so fresh and original that they can only belong to hikaru. The arrangements are wonderful. The only reason i do not give this product a perfect rating is the problem that plagues all hikaru's records, and that is her vocals. Her vocal abilities and the music she writes do not compliment each other in the least. Other than that, bravo hikaru, great job. I am now awating more.
