Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria (US Version) PS2

In this prequel to Valkyrie Profile set hundreds of years prior to Lenneth's fabled tale, all of the real action revolves around the Valkyrie known as Silmera, the youngest and brightest of the three Valkyries. Silmeria was once a faithful servant of Odin, before a bitter conflict between the two caused her to fall from grace and be willfully reincarnated in human form. During the transmigration process, her soul was placed within the body of Alicia, Princess of the Kingdom of Dipan. However, the situation gets even more complicated when Silmeria's spirit unexpectedly reawakens within her mortal host, leaving two souls to inhabit and battle for supremacy within a single human body. A banished spirit who should have remained hidden has now been revealed, a grave turn of events that will not come without consequences - that is, if Odin has anything to say about it! Forging out on a quest with heroes by her side, Alicia hopes to regain total control of her body, returning to a life free from the control of Silmeria or Odin. But will she succeed?

This installment of the Valkyrie Profile saga introduces a new Photon Action System to the previous game's classic side-scrolling action as well as "sealstones" that have an effect on the laws of nature in dungeons! During battles, gamers must also implement the use of Attack Points (AP), which are consumed during attacks, but are replenished when gamers defeat their enemies! And that's just the tip of the broad sword when it comes to gameplay options; there's a whole lot more in store for fans of the original game in the sequel-turned-prequel, Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria!
