A long wait- for a dissapointment
| this album was one of the cd's that i was most looking forward to all year. When it finally came out, it was a big dissapointment. Her single's were great but the other songs lack something. Driving all night, u got to, and Who's that girl were one of her best singles i thought. The only other songs that were okay on the album was don't rush(needs a beat during the chorus tho), Let's get together and Kissing You. hmm so i only liked 3 new songs, not so good. If your new to double, she is a very sweet r&b singer. She is called the Ashanti of Japan because she can sing very angelic too but in my opinion ashanti should be the double of america because double has much more talent even. I recomend you getting double's singles before getting this album. Im looking forward to her new remix album "re:vision" which i hope will be good. |

I Agree
| I don't think this album is as good as her last. I own all of her albums and a good portion of her singles and this CD was a bit of a disappointment. When I first listened to mine I thought, "Is that it?" It's a good release for any other artist but for Double's standard, the songs aren't very good. The singles are excellent though, I really recommend those...especially for the original version of "You Got To" featuring S-Word. The version included here sounds too Jamaican or tropical and I just don't like it. Best of luck to Takako and I hope this album is successful for her. |

Great Hardcore R&B Album
|
The 1st track on double's new album is a nice smooth intro titled D.O.U.B.L.E It has some nice flowing sounds accompanied by some vocals by double and some rapper.if you guessed that the song is about her then you're right...it is mainly her repeating "d-o-u-b-l-e". Don't rush is nice upbeat number which features ALOT of computer generated sounds...it can be abit annoying but it adds alot unique-ness to the song and scores high on the cool factor. Her vocals are urgent but are very sweet. Should have tried is a more serious R&B medium tempo song.Heartsdales don't take long to start rapping.Their rap is really the same stuff they do on their own...nothing so awesome. The song does have a simple beat though...it seems rather repetitive...like the same music being played over and over but this song is still really good! Party Time is more upbeat R&B type song.Double starts off rapping abit or talking really fast and then starts to sing immediately. The chorus of this song is actually really nice. Just Who's That the interlude is a short piece that is basically the backups for the Who's That Girl track. It only has those backup vocals..no music! Who's That Girl is just an amazing song.It has a great upbeat sound.A really addictive chorus. The backup vocals are really nice...they work really well with Double's vocals...they work hand in hand...to form probably the best song on this album! This is Double at her best on this album! Strange Things is a nice R&B ballad. The song has a very laid back beat. This is a song that you can picture lovers dancing to or making out to...it has that feeling....a very intense and passionate feeling. Abc is more upbeat track. It has a very funky beat.It has an "in your face" kind of attitude.her vocals match the attituse of this song.honestly it is not a very outstanding track as the past tracks have been. Love is another interlude. It is another short piece with laid back beat accompanied by some computer generated sounds. She basically moans "love" for the whole piece. You Got To is a very funky song that was featured on the "driving all night" Single.it has some funky instrumentation.there is a computer generated sound that repeats itself throughout the entire song. The beat of this song can get very annoying after awhile since the beat does not change for the entire song. It is very average compared with some of the other stuff featured on this album. Let's Get together is nice ballad with Hiro from E.O.H sining alongside Double. The song has a nice slow pace and the vocals are all so very relaxed.Hiro and double sound lovely together...both their vocals are great. This is just a really beatiful love song Kissing You is just probably the best new song on this album!it is a medium tempo song.It has some nice piano work. The music in this song is just perfect.I liked how the instrumentation sounds.Double's vocals are deep sounding for this track as opposed to how sweet her vocals usually are. This song actually sounds like it has just a touch of pop in it...just a pinch though. Midnight All Alone is another interlude. It just has a nice smooth beat with double singing a sentence.it is really short! Driving All Night is a nice, smooth and groovy track. It has a retro sound to it.It is like R&B meets disco. It sounds really good song. You can really get your groove on with this song! The chorus is also really nice. This song is just funky cool alright! You'll love it! Going On is the closing track for the album. It has a nice steady R&B beat with Double singing some short phrases every now and then. You Got To feat. S-word is a bonus track which is better than the original! This version has some guest rapping by S-word.The beat of this song is altered abit and it sounds a heck of alot better! The song really shines with this new music added. The music is no longer annoying but pure enjoyable.I like this song alot! They even use a steel pan is this track. This track beats the original and rules all ok!! I'm not |

Very good but....
| I'm a very big fan of Double and I usually purchase all of her albums. This one didn't really do it for me. I was a little dissapointed in the album. Some of the songs such as "Driving all night" were good but not as good as her previous album "Double". Still, she has a great voice and can hardly wait for the next album. Hope it's a bit better... |

DOUBLE, again..
|
Ey, again this girl is doing it. She is the queen of Japanese R&B. I just got this CD yesterday in the mail from my wife, whos also Japanese....man, this cd is aight. She got too many fast songs on this tho, but songs like, WHOS THAT GIRL, LET'S GET TOGETHER, DRIVING ALL NIGHT, and YOU GOT TO is off the hook. YOU GOT TO kinda reminds me of Ashanti's WHAT'S LUV jank. But I'm glad she mixed in some Japanese with English cuz I can actually understand her whole album this time. Ey, yall should also get her previous album, HANDLE. Oh yea, in her new CD, the jacket covers, oh my god... make a guy wanna tear his own clothes off. She's so fine...jya kanojoo miemasu kara iku. Amazing
| I swear you will love this CD!! Every song on here fits perfectly, and her single You Go To WILL make you dance! I swear, if anyone knows Ashanti's "What's Luv" thats what You Got To will remind you of, even though they're not even talking about the same things. But I swear buy this CD.........Did I mention Takako is so hot? |
