Nihon Koen 2005 - Romantic Energy (Japan Version)
November 18, 2007 Very good concertThis concert DVD unfortunately seems to be only available in a Japanese pressing (no Hong Kong edition) and it's not as widely available as some of the other concert DVDs. This concert has a good selection of songs, the audio and video are nice and clear, and unlike other 12 Girls Band concert DVDs , there's an interview session at the end and the video has some songs with multiple "picture-in-picture" (ala the opening to the "Brady Bunch" TV series) - I think that latter difference should have been incorporated into the multiple viewing angle function of DVDs, so you can switch camera angles, rather than be forced to see several videos in their own windows changing randomly. Otherwise, it's a very good concert DVD. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Fearless (Director's Cut) (Hong Kong Version)
May 20, 2007 This is THE version to buyIf you enjoyed this movie, this is THE version to buy. the added scenes make an already great movie even better. As already mentioned, there is a framing sequence with Michelle Yeoh, a village scene with Thai boxer Somluck Kamsing, and several smaller scenes (particulary in the village) which serve to reinforce the story of how Jet Li's character, Huo Yuanjia, matures from bully to the realization of the true essence of kungfu. The video quality and sound are both very good and there is a 'making of' documentary on the disc. The only thing they left out of the disc is the music video by Jay Chou! Hero (Director's Cut)

May 20, 2007 best version of the director'sJust about everyone has seen this movie and already knows the story, soundtrack, acting, directing, and the cinematography, so I'm just reviewing this disc.
This Hong Kong Edko Films Ltd. release is the best version of the director's cut (roughly 10 minutes longer than the non-director's cut). Compared to the Guangdong Face Home Video release, this Edko release has a much better picture quality, the opening and closing words on the screen are shown in English (good for those who can't read the Chinese characters), and the Face release has an annoying watermark that pops up regularly thoughout the film - this Edko version does not. However, the Edko version lacks Faye Wong's song in the credits and there are no bonus materials at all on the DVD. Also, the description is incorrect - this Edko version DOES indeed have optional English subtitles. There's a comparision of the two director's cut releases on dvdactive.com.
