民國初年，有一條名為「大家鄉」的鄉村。不知何故，村民吃人成癖，並由村內保安隊設置陷阱，凡有外鄉人過境，都被捉到屠房生劏然後在祠堂分肉。密探徐少強追緝江洋大盜，剛巧與小偷南韓材同船而來，於是懞然踏入這可怕村莊。幸而兩人均功夫了得，身手不凡，才可逃過被村民生剖一動劫。
此片風格新潮怪異，屠宰場面血腥迫真，挑戰當年恐怖電影尺度。武打場面仍是一貫徐克作風，極具迫力，充滿緊張氣氛。
Agent 999 (Norman Tsui) travels to a remote island in pursuit of a bandit called Rolex (Melvin Wong) together with a thief. Upon their arrivals, they meet up with the chief of police (Eddy Ko) and soon notice that the locals of the village are all merciless cannibals. The locals will trap and eat every one who enters the village alive and cut them up in the most brutal ways. With their excellent martial art skills, 999 and the thief barely escape from the deadly chase of the cannibals...
Tsui has successfully created a creepy, and at the same time funny, atmosphere with interesting dialogues and vigorous bloodshed scenes.

Never go into the forest. Or, to a strange island. Kung fu Vs. Cannibals in this bloodbath of mayhem as Norman Tsui battles to save his life against the murderous hungry villagers who hae a lust for human rice buns. Eddy Ko and man-eating friends will stop at nothing to satisfy their taste for human flesh in this macabre adventure that lacks ghost, jumping ghoals and monster. Well, traditional monster anyway. This VCD version has been edited. The uncut version is available as a World Video videocassette. |
