simply the best drama ever

adding to my previous review(top anonymous one)...its like ancient chinese kung-fu show matched up with modern people, storylines, technology XD. still yet to actually buy the whole dvd set but i saw the whole series a lil while back on a taiwanese satellite channel. wallace huo and cyndi wang w00t!!! |

just...THE BEST
| not much to say here...this is THE BEST taiwanese drama i've ever watched. the only thing i'd change is that there are more episodes of it XD |

The first comment ive got to make is that 'Ying Fung' looks like the Chinese version of Harry Potter at first...keke^^ The overall story is very suitable for teenagers...it is definitely not just a lovey dovey girls film. The action within the series although slightly exaggerated at points...are very exciting and shows how much effort 5566 have put into filming the series. There are many references to the traditional Chinese novel writer 'Gum Yung'...which are very funny^^ The music within the series are also very touching and the main theme tune is also very lively and suits the series well. The only dodgey part would be the relationship development between Wallace and Cyndi where it gets a little strange and i didn't like the fact personally that Cyndi was basically a prostitute but then i guess that makes it more realistic. There is great plot development generally though and there is also a sort of detective kind of story line which is very intriguing regarding the secret about 'Fish's' parent!! On the whole i would seriously recommend this series epecially if you like 5566 like me!! |

Awesome!!!
| Are you kidding me?! This is like the best drama I ever saw! Far better than Meteor Garden, Marmalade Boy, or any others I have ever seen. Watching Westside Story really makes me regret buying some previous dramas. I will buy this set as soon as I get the money! This story is not only about love, it's also about trust, friendship and courage. And the main character is just soooooo cute (The 5566 main guy)! Doesn't he just look adorable?! I love this set! It rocks! |
