White Dragon VCD

Cecilia Cheung takes on two roles in this brand new film by Wilson Ip, which also stars Francis Ng, who hasn't starred in a historical film in years. White Dragon is a historical romantic comedy, but with Wilson Ip helming the film there is little chance this film will be conventional in any way! Adding more contemporary elements against a martial arts background, even breaking cultural boundaries by adding a Japanese-style blind samurai into the mix, White Dragon is innovative, fun, and romantic all at once!

Cecilia Cheung has already starred in a few historical films, and this time she has to use all the tricks that she has as a Best Actress winner to pull off the demands for her part: cross-dressing as well as being a convincing fighter and musician! In preparation for her role, she specifically took music lessons to play traditional Chinese instruments. She plays both Black Phoenix and White Dragon, with the story set in Ming Dynasty. Black Phoenix, a famed beauty in a prestigious school, lives with her father Black Hawk, and she dreams of marrying a prince. Winning an award as best musician, she catches the eye of the second prince, and they fall in love at first sight.

Unbeknownst to everyone, Black Phoenix also moonlights as Little White Dragon. After receiving all the powers of Elder White Dragon, who was severely wounded by a blind swordsman (Francis Ng), Little White Dragon continues the works of the Elder, performing heroics and hunting down the blind swordsman. However, she finds herself falling for the blind swordsman...

　　材貌出眾的黑鳳（張柏芝飾）在一貴族學校讀書，她最大的志願是能夠嫁給皇子，成為皇妃，而二皇子在學校遇到黑鳳後亦一見鍾情，二人互生情愫。一天，學校突然出現一名殺手——盲俠「一地雞毛」（吳鎮宇飾），企圖行刺校長，隱姓埋名的女俠「大白龍」出手相救，糾纏間被盲俠所傷，她誤以為自己將死，遂把武功傳授給黑鳳，但黑鳳卻因未能控制此股內力，臉上長出一顆顆小白朧蒼，故被人稱為「小白龍」。
　　黑鳳得悉盲俠下一個刺殺目標正是二王子，為可令王子脫離險境，她不惜屢次挑戰盲俠，企圖找出他的死穴。漸漸地，盲俠開始對黑鳳產生愛意，他放棄刺殺二皇子，更告訴黑鳳自己的死穴位置。另方面，買兇殺人的大皇子為怕夜長夢多，捉拿盲俠斬首。行刑當日，「小白龍」冒死到刑場營救盲俠……

Cheung is "Little White Dragon", a noblewoman and a kung fu hero whose beauty soon caught the eyes of the crown prince. He sent White Dragon to capture an assassin, a blind swordsman (Ng). But when White Dragon and the Blind Swordsman subsequently fall for each other, they decide to world together and combat the crown prince, who has a sinister plan of his own.
