I guess you have to be a fan..
|
... to enjoy this film. The DVD is nicely presented in an attractive slipcase, but that's about as good as it gets... oh, no, there's talk of Christy Chung and her lovely behind in this film, that was probably the highlight for me. The English subs are good, but the film was less entertaining than the first. If you enjoyed the first movie or are a fan of any of the cast then you might quite like it, but I personally found it rather boring. |

Good enough for me baby
|
My friends say the first one is better, but I must say that this one is good enough. First of all it casts 3 stars I like - Leslie, Jordan Chan, Anita Mui. Secondly, the plot is very interesting -- Leslie moves in with his childish girlfriend, can't get used to living with someone, turned his girlfriend into a boy star (no one knows she's a boy), girlfriend met famous star Anita who's bored to death with her life and fell in love ... I wouldn't want to spoil the ending but definitely you should watch it. Anita is enigmatic. Leslie's acting is outstanding. I envy Anita Yuen's character -- she's not that pretty nor sexy but she gets the best of both worlds ;) |

Don't miss this one
|
Overall this is a good film, though I enjoyed watching the first version (He's a Woman, She's a Man) more. I thought it was funny to see two women (Anita Mui & Anita Yuen) kissing each other, and no big deal at all. The best parts were of course, watching Leslie and listening to the theme songs. |

ok....
| well i just had to say the first one was better. this movie is sometime funny. the plot is kind of arkward and there is a love part of anita mui and anita relationship. i felt uncomfortable after anita mui and anita kissed. i watch this because of leslie only. but of course its not that bad. the love between leslie and anita is wuite funny. especially towards the end. when leslie was chasing anita. just like anita chase leslie in the first movie. when they got on plane. something really hilirious happen. watch and find out! |

with the sad passing of Anita Mui
|
I was saddened by the passing of Anita Mui and started to watch her movies again. This is one of my favorite movies with her in it. I think her acting was very convincing. Yes, sequels are never as good as the first one, but she did a great job. She will never be forgotten... |

Tired jokes
| It is absolutely true that sequels are never as good as the original. This movie is full of the same tired jokes, esp of Sam's claustrophobia. He gets stuck in the elevator once too often, such that it ceases to be funny but becomes very tiresome. Also, the plot is quite unbelieveable and now focuses on lesbianism (as opposed to gay behaviour in the first). Both Anitas are simply not convincing in their roles as women attraced to each other. Come on, when you have a guy as gorgeous as Sam (Leslie), would you want to hook up with a woman? I like the first one much better. |

it's alright
| this movie was not as well written as the first. it does work on some levels. like Leslie is wonderful. he is able to be vulnerable, sweet, and neglectful at the same time. he has excellent comedy timing. but the movie tries to cover too much territory. still worth just to see Leslie |

A worthy sequel
| A twist to the original although not as good. I guess the surprise element was gone after the first installment; but this is still a worthy sequel to watch with great performance from Anita, Anita, and Leslie. |
