Veteran Shaw Brothers actor David Chiang directs Will of Iron, a cautionary thriller starring Hong Kong Cinema superstars Jacky Cheung and Maggie Cheung! Four longtime friends (Jacky Cheung, Maggie Cheung, Crystal Kwok and Michael Wong) have weathered the years together, but when Maggie returns from oversea schooling, she discovers that something is wrong with her former friends. Jacky and Crystal are expecting their first child, but Michael suspiciously avoids them, and everyone has differing excuses for the estrangement. Slowly, Maggie uncovers the truth: Jacky is now a pathetic cocaine addict, and Michael is his supplier! This development throws a wrench into Maggie and Michael's romantic reunion, which is further compounded by rising debt, betrayal, and drug-smuggling triads who seek to take advantage of Jacky's addiction. There's only one way all this can end: badly. Will of Iron takes a laudable message and presents it in harrowing cinema fashion, doubling and tripling up its physical blows with emotional ones that will make even the most violence-hardened individual wince reflexively. 　　Maggie returns Hong Kong to accompany her grandmother to Canada. She also takes this opportunity to visit her old friends, Carol \& Jacky. Little does she know that Jacky has become a drug addict. More surprising, the drug dealer is Maggie's boy-friend, Michael. When Carol Commits suicide for Jacky steals her money to buy cocaine, Maggie learns the truth. She determines to save Jacky. Jacky is willing to quit taking drug. But he is forced to traffic drug to repay his debt. Michael, with a view to keep his love and friends, finally teams up with Maggie and combat against the gangsters.
