Tim Vol. 4 - Love Is...
February 22, 2008 Anothr strong performance by TAlthough I commend him for exploring different genre of music in his newly realsed album, I feel ambivalent about his recent album. It is a shame that Korea is lacking solid composers to support talented vocals like Tim. (I see it over and over that the talented vocalists disappear due to not getting decent songs.) I feel that the lyrics are missing the heart-wrenching factor this time, which is the reason that I listen to Korean music in the first place. Nonetheless, Tim, on the other hand, shows strong performance as usual; he did not fail my expectations. His vocal was incredibly moving when he sang "Walk on water". I think that all the Christians should have this song on their hard drives or mp3's. All in all, I will support all his future endeavors no matter what!! Here's to you, Tim. Cheers! However, his voice really MAKES the songs. He is, no doubt, an incredibly talented vocalist. I am in awe every time I listen to his singing. The track #4 "Polaris" instantly gave me a heartache that lasted for days. The track #8 (JYP's song) used to be one of my favorite songs in the past and I am glad to hear Tim's interpretation of the song. The song that touched me the most, however, was the 9th track "We are the reason". I wish some day he will come to us with his full christian music album. All in all, Great Work, Tim! Tim Vol. 1
February 18, 2008 A gifted vocalist! After not listening to Korean pop music for so many years, I feel lucky to come across his first album. He is surely a gifted vocalist. His songs are overflowing with emotions. This is a remarkable feat considering that Korean is his second language. The track #9 "Bye Bye Love" almost brought tears to my eyes. I was whole-heartedly impressed that he was able to put such incredible amount of emotions into the language that he is not completly comfortable with. I am now eagerly anticipating his next album. Can't wait! Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
