YesAsia Editorial Description

International superstar Michelle Yeoh kicks up a storm in Wing Chun, a Hong Kong Cinema favorite directed by action master Yuen Woo Ping! Wing Chun (Michelle Yeoh) is the tomboyish proprietor of a local tofu stand, who sells tofu with the same righteous power with which she practices martial arts. But Wing Chun gets involved in some mistaken identity when her childhood love (the great Donnie Yen) mistakes the beautiful Miss Soybean (Catherine Hung) for Wing Chun. A daffy scholar (Waise Lee) also has eyes for Wing Chun, and when a group of bandits begins terrorizing the people, it's revealed that their boss (Norman Tsui Siu Keung) likes Wing Chun, too! There's only one thing a girl with such pervasive romantic problems can do: fight everyone in sight! A fun Hong Kong action-comedy spectacle, Wing Chun is pure enjoyment from start to finish. Michelle Yeoh and Donnie Yen both display surprising comedic charm, and Yuen Woo Ping's action sequences are creative and wildly entertaining. Watch for the film's signature action sequence, where Wing Chun fights while balancing a tray of tofu in the air!

Wing Chung or not Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I don't care! Just ignore the title! I must admit, that the title is not suitable, but who cares. It's a good " Chop Chop " movie!

this isn't Wing Chun!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 2 - 2 out of 10
If the movie wasn't called "Wing Chun" it would be quite a decent film.

But as it's named "Wing Chun" I expected to see some decent Wing Chun kung fu fighting... what a disappointment. Michelle doesn't execute a single Wing Chun move in this movie - the film is embarrasing...

One of Michelle's best MA flick! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is a film you can set next to Drunken Master and Ouatic...You can feel the same positive vibe.
For sure recommended to those who likes MA flix, but not to those who's in search for "realistic" Wing Chun executions.
Go tape urself doin' Wing Chun then...

Wing Chun? Customer Review Rated Bad 1 - 1 out of 10
The film flatters to deceive, having observed the credits you would expect a film full of amazing Kung Fu stunts and athletism from two of the most accomplished kung fu actors around. The film is too slapstick, Michelle Yeoh is not a convincing Wing Chun artist (I practice Wing Chun myself from the Yip Man kung fu tree), and Donnie Yen tries his best... such a let down, and with the legendary Yuen Wo Ping as director i just cannot understand. Anyway, if you want to watch a more realistic Wing Chun film buy "The Prodigal Son" 100% Wing Chun!!!!
