YesAsia Editorial Description

The third film in the Korean WHISPERING CORRIDORS series, WISHING STAIRS, likes its predecessors, is a tale of horror and haunting set in an all-girls boarding school. This entry, however, benefits from its female director, Jae-yeon Yun, who is able to bring an awareness of the challenges facing adolescent girls to the film. Best friends Kim So-hie and Yun Ji-seong both study ballet at an exclusive girls' school, but So-hie has the advantages of talent and a moneyed upbringing. Ji-seong hears a strange rumor about the 28 steps that lead up to the dormitory building; the story goes that if one wants something badly enough, a 29th stair will appear that can be wished upon. When Ji-seong observes a unpopular and unattractive classmate suddenly become a well-liked beauty, she is convinced this supernatural technique can help her become the head of the ballet class. But when she attempts it, little does she realize the horrible consequences for her friend So-hie and the other students at the school. WISHING STAIRS is a low-key, gothic horror tale that focuses on its characters and exploring the difficulties facing adolescent girls.

i bought this Singapore version VCD. It is in Korean & there is a Mandarin duubed. I watched the Madarin with english subtitles. The feeling is just great. I rate this at 10stars. I am planning to watch Wisperring Corriders, Voice, Face, Accacia, A Tale Of Two Sisters, Ghost In Love, The Doll Master and all the Korean horror films. I am also a Japanese horror fan.

Wishing Stairs: Disappointed Customer Review Rated Bad 1 - 1 out of 10
Everyone on here said this movie was so good, but im so confused, i found this to be such a disappointment to korean horror films. I didnt find it scarry at all. The story line was different fonr once, that was a positive, but the characters were so weird. What kind of people are like this, and there was a short period of the supernatural stuff. Like when the supposily horror stuff is suppose to begin, its rather short, im a horror fan so i really enjoy that part, but it was short and weird. Throughout the whole movie i kept expecting stuff to happen, i waited and waited and then all of a sudden the movie ended. Maybe i was expecting too much, but what i got from it wasnt much. The ONLY thing i did enjoy about this movie was the character of So-Hee, she was noble and really kind no matter what her friend did to her, i liked how she was a rebel but at the same time had something that many people wanted and envied her ability to dance. Other than that it made me feel so disappointed. Im glad i was able to borrow this movie from my friend rather than actually bought it, i would of regretted it.

definitely recommend seeing this! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
this movie was surprisingly good. it was directed by a different female director who i didnt think would capture the same essence of the first 2 movies in the trilogy (soon to be...quadrilogy?) this movie basically has concepts of part 1 and part 2 mixed together. there are some scary parts, some parts that make your emotions arise (happy and sad), and some parts that make you(well made me...) cry. after i seen it, i definitely went to buy it.

So good! So scarey! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
One day my dog dead and their my feeling so sad. I ask money dad, he gave me some. So I bought Wishing Stairs. This video is sad! Movie's cool with actresses that inexperienced but professional! This dvd is two girls like eachother very much in all girls live-in school, but one kills other because she is jealous! This happens after she wishes on the fox stairs. Be careful what you wish for! Fat girl tells about stairs, she likes the dead girl too and makes a wish! Scarey!
I love Park Hon Byul! So pretty! Scary humming song! Buy movie now! ^-^
