Woman On The Beat (VCD) (End) (TVB Drama) VCD

Film and television star Carol Cheng featured in many memorable TVB series in the 1980s, including the police series Woman on the Beat. Aired in 1983, this 20-episode drama is a classic entry in the police series genre, predating even Police Cadet. Cheng's portrayal of a willful police academy trainee and rookie officer went well with her image as a charismatic and independent modern woman. Her co-star in the drama is television heartthrob of the day Shek Sau, who is still very active in acting now. The drama also features appearances from Stanley Fung, Au-Yeung Pui San, Liu Wai Hung, veteran actor Lau Siu Ming, and a young Bobby Au-Yeung.

Since graduating college, Cheung Hoi Ming (Carol Cheng) has tried out a lot of different jobs, but none have kept her interest. After meeting dashing police officer Kwong Gam Fai (Shek Sau), she decides to apply for the police academy on a whim, and gets accepted. Proud and laid-back, Hoi Ming initially does not fare well in training, clashing often with her demanding instructor (Au-Yeung Pui San). With Kwong's guidance, however, she eventually finds her way, and resolves to become an outstanding police officer. Kwong meanwhile gets a big surprise when he discovers that Hoi Ming's father (Lau Siu Ming) is affiliated with the international drug ring he's investigating.

剛畢業的張皚明(鄭裕玲)與友人陳子純(廖偉雄)一同投考警員，接受嚴厲挑戰。警校畢業後，明被派與高級(幫辦)警司鄺錦輝(石修)同於一工作崗位，純因考試不及格，轉職為鑑證科人員。

明剛上任因不習慣工作環境，經常出錯，幸得輝從旁指導。由於工作上經常接觸，明對輝心生愛慕，但輝卻對同事鄭舜華(歐陽珮珊)情有獨鐘，但華則對下屬金志剛(馮淬帆)一片痴心，經常幫助他解決工作上的麻煩。他們經常處理不同案件，加上錯綜復雜的四角關係，他們能否應付得來？

Fresh graduate CHEUNG HOI-MING (Cheng Yue Ling) and her friend CHAN CHI-SHUN (Liu Wai Hung) have applied to join the Police Force. Upon her graduation from the training school, MING is placed under the supervision of Senior Superintendent KWONG KAM-FAI (Shek Sau) while SHUN is transferred to the Identification Bureau following his failure in the final examination.

MING finds it hard to settle in to her new job. Luckily her mentor FAI is always there to offer support. MING has gradually developed a strong affection for FAI through the close collaboration. FAI falls for his colleague CHENG SHUN-WAH (Au Yeung Pui Shan), who, however, is in love with her subordinate KAM CHI-KONG (Fung Shui Fan). Everyone not only deals with intriguing cases that arise every day but also a web of complex love relations. Will they all be able to rise to the challenges ahead of them?
