You must buy this!

This is the uncut version of "Wonderful Days". The animation is superb and the story is complex as deals with how society adapted to a polluted world and lost its humanity in the process. Human relationships mirror the relationship with the environment. The video transfer is superb. The rain and water effects in this title were godly. The audio (Dolby version) is also wonderful. Lots of love went into making this movie and it is shown with all the extras that come with this edition, including the menus. A definite "must have" for any animation collection. |

Excellent movie ^_^
|
I loved this movie so much I had to grab the limited edition and the soundtrack. I know another person who wrote a review had trouble with the l.edition with a 2 second skip, but I took the chance and bought it and it was fine. So for the bit extra I recommend this one! The extra stuff is all in Korean without subbies to help you out, but you can still appreciate all the work they show you without translation. The movie itself has the extra scenes in it, and sometimes explains things a bit better because of that. Wont jabber on too long, good buy, must see movie. Shame it couldn't come to theatres worldwide. *cries* |

The only review that matters!!
| [Animation:] The animation is truly ground-breaking. A perfect combination of 2D, 3D, & real-life miniatures mixed seamlessly to deliver a world you have to see to believe. [Sound & Subtitles:] The sound effects are spectacular & the music is as beautiful as the visuals. This DVD supports DTS & Dolby Digital 5.1. The English subtitles are excellent, no grammatical errors here. [Story & Characters:]First of all there aren't any plot holes. The story is told in a way a spider weaves a web, except this time, the spider starts from the outside & works its way into the center. The story is one about hope & the passion that the characters share in a time of desperate need. The story is more clear than confusing. [Packaging & Extras:]The DVD case is held inside an attractive holographic casing. Disc 1 -Unless you are very fluent in Korean the commentary track is useless. Disc 2 - If you can read Korean & understand it very fluently, this disc has plenty to offer. If your like me and can't speak or read any Asian language this disc still has extras like a massive gallery slideshow which features concept art, sketches, etc. It also has some promotional material such as various "Wonderful Days" trailers, music video, stills. I highly recommend this to any animation buff or casual. |

Excellent Movie - Flawed L.O.E.
|
Everything about this movie is great. The only thing that was lacking is the story line but given the circumstances the writers did a good job with what they had to work with. The only reason why I returned the Limited Original Edition was because it has a manufacture's defect. It is near the end about an hour into it when the Kid gets hurt. The movie skips for 2 seconds. While it is not a big deal it is distracting enough to take away from the movie. So I bought the regular limited edition instead free of the defect. I hope they fix this problem. |

A great Anime.. may lack a plot
| An amazing DVD. The Animation is good but can lack fluid smooth moments. The moment I heard about this Korean Anime I checked it out. Reviews and such told me a great anime but lacks a plot.I bought and watched it and it was amazing. The plot needs a little work and the motions aren't always fluid but let's face it nothing is perfect. Koreans CAN make anime. |

I have been renting this movie, never hearing or reading of it before. My experience´s with Anime are view, having seen a view of them, yet (Akira..). I therefore was afraid of having rent a hectical, overdone dvd and was indeed very surprised of "Wonderful days". The film has been rather good translated in German, so i can only give my point of view on the german version. Most people complain that the plot is so weak, but it is not to my opinion. Looking at films coming out these days, most of them a rather weakplotted, combined with the greatest action and fireworks to give the movie at least some substance. "Wonderful Days" is from my point of view even daring, the last 20 minutes are very unusuall about the music. I like this movie because of its style, music and combination of its charakters. i can realy recommend it ! vermeij |

Excellent Movie
| This is a very very good movie, kind of reminds me of Titan A.E. but this is better. The graphic is out of this world and it has a good storyline. I really enjoy it. To sum it all up; love and highly recommend it. See Shua toy take flight. Thanks Dr. Noah |

It was nice, but still flawed
| I have heard very bad reviews from this movie, so when I watched it, I was expecting a bad plot but good animation. I think the movie accomplishes both though. I will admit, the plot is not one that is very original, but lets face it, Sci-fi movies are almost always the same with the storyline sometimes. This is one of those movies. To make up for it's average plot though, they use dazzeling CG animation. Not only are the characters are remarkably drawn, but the CG background borderlines real. I think the main problem with the film is that A) the voice acting lacks. Their emotions in the voice doesn't fully match up with the emotions on their faces. B) The animators spent so much time perfecting the animation that their bodies lack or flowing movement. They are often rigid and robot-like. C) the movie is Korean. Many American Anime fans complain of a boring plot, but the truth of the matter is that it is a Korean film and that is how most storylines are set up |

Perfect picture quality, but hybrid NTSC.
|
No need to add about what has already been said about the movie. I just wanted to tell that the DVD picture quality is good. Colors and brightness are perfect, among the best DVD I've seen. There is no noise on the picture, which is very important for anime. However, the encoding is a hybrid NTSC that often jumps between 23.976 fps film and 29.97 fps video. It causes little pauses in the sound, and it's not possible to watch it in pure progressive mode on a PC. Reviewed with an HTPC, DVI output, Sanyo PLV-Z2 projector. Reclock can't be used because of the mixed frame rate. |

Anime lovers?
| i think this anime was pretty good, but it's hard to compare with japanese anime like naruto or macross zero. This is definately a different twist of anime which is quite interesting. I think we can hope to see more korean animes in the next few years. |
