This is a great package! Unfortunately, it is out of print. Get the reprint if it comes up in the future, otherwise get the Last Live Video or the Dalia Live Video separately if they are available. The ballad, Crucify My Love which is my favorite by Toshi, is in both concerts. Also, try to get the Live Live Live Extra CD which contains the following tracks: 1. Kurenai (Red) 2. Wriggle 3. Heath Solo 4. Hide Solo 5. Piano Solo 6. Drum Solo 7. Orgasm I've been addicted to this CD lately. The Drum Solo track is my favorite besides Wriggle, Heath Solo and Hide Solo. I was completely overwhelmed and surprised by the fusion of classical composition into the track. It sounds like Mascagni or Tchaikovsky's works, sorry I don't know. (Perhaps other fans can tell us!) It is the opening track of one of the concerts. It is absolutely beautiful! And if you listen to the other tracks play by Hide and Heath, you have no doubt that they were the best! Yoshiki will take up another page for me to tell how much I like him, perhaps later! |

A Wow! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
I wasn't going to write anything additional about this package because I thought it was out of print. I just watched the Dhalia Tour Final 1996 last night for the first time and I'm compelled to write about X-Japan again. There is a live video clip in the Dhalia concert that is from the National Geographic featuring an animal that I have phobic reaction. But the rock track that goes with the video is phenomenal to the Nth degree to use a mathematical term. I think X-Japan is at their best with the extraordinary music and the way they play it shows that they are the ultimate rock group. Their music has withstood the test of time. They make me cry with their ballads and stand in awe with their rock piece. Also, the music by Mascagni used by Yoshiki for the documentary clip is the only piece that have me cry before. |

The Last Live Video!
|
After missed the chance of going to the new X-Japan's concert in Paris and the upcoming one in Hong Kong, I've decided to watch their Last Live Video (Disk 4-1 and Disk 4-2) two days ago. The Last Concert is spectacular in its scale, lighting and setting. It is the embodiment of musical excellence and prowess, and showmanship too. X-Japan is indeed legendary and they had set the standard. There will never be another group like them. I wish I could have been their fan much sooner and sitting in their last concert. Anyway, I'm just happy that I have this concert DVD. It just made up for what I missed and I'll treasure it for as long as the disks can retain the data. The video and color qualities, and camera shooting are all excellent. I want to thank the previous reviewers for their recommendations. If you love Yoshiki, Toshi, Hide and the rest of X-Japan, don't miss this! It is worth more than its nominal value. |

An X-Japan Fans Dream!
|
Having been a fan of X-Japan for a number of years but never having the pleasure to see them play live this box set is a little window into the live shows and energy that accompanied the great Visual Kei band. Worth every penny/cent and much cheaper than buying the CDs & DVDs individually plus it comes in a shiny silver box...bonus! |

X - ellent !!!!!!!
| The only song i had heard before buying this box set was 'Tears'(amazing ballad), and i read that X-Japan were a rock/metal band which 'Tears' is a long way from so i had no real clue as to what i might get. To sum up it didn't take very long before i was a new fan and completey hooked to it (and still am), they play some of the most beautiful ballads, Forever Love, Endless Rain, Crucify My Love, to some fantastic hardcore rock and metal tunes like Rusty Nail, Dhalia, and Art Of Life (seriously kicks butt) and their performances are a lot different than western concerts that i've seen in that they are so moving, you can really feel the emotions of music thruogh them. Since i got it i have tried to buy whatever cd's and dvd's i can get hold of because a lot of there stuff is getting more and more difficult to get, my opinion is that X-Japan Complete II is very much worth the money and one of the greatest music items i have ever seen and heard - X-ellent, a must have!!! |

"reach out for eternity..."
| being relatively new to X Japan fandom, I did not have any of the their music released after the Jealousy album. after recovering from the sticker shock of this box, I told myself that each disc would only be $15.89, which is a great price for Japanese CDs/DVDs, & it would complete that gap of my X collection. this boxset is an overwhelming amount of material to take in at once, but it is worth it if you do not have most of these albums or DVDs. I cannot say it is an essential purchase if you have much of this material already, since the only really "rare" thing is the bonus DVD, which is very interesting (there's a personal clip of the band members and their homes in Los Angeles). however, songs like Tears & Forever Love, & the heartbreaking triumph of The Last Live are essential for X fans to know, and if you don't have these albums or DVDs, this boxset is a best place to get everything at once. my only real complaint is that there are no extensive liner notes or photographs-- just the black paper inserts with lyrics & title listings. luckily, the music makes up for that one fault. |
