Bringing love to a realistic perspective Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
In this book, the author gives a contrast of two personalities: one girl of a deep conservative demeanor and the other of a cheerful, sunshine-like character. This helps me see how a man chooses between the two types of woman. Also, she drops in a lot of reality checks, such as money and the fact that everyone has to have a job. This makes me realize that life is not only about romance. Sometimes, love does not have to be painful. The cheerful, light kind of love works too, as she concludes in the book.

Life is already hard enough. I don't need to look into a hard relationship. I agree with Yi Shu's point of view.

Back in form but nothing spectacular... Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Since I berated her last novel, I felt obligated to at least put in a few good words on her latest. Romance w/ a sci-fi spin is nothing new in her repertoire, but at least she's back in form w/ her trade mark wit and humor. Equally risque if not more so than her previous novel, seems like she's out to prove a point to her legion of fans that she indeed wrote the last novel and the sudden change in style is not fortuitous. There're a lot of depiction of promiscuity which in itself is fine, but what turned me off is the excessive and over the top preachy tone that sex and nudity is natural and no one should feel ashamed. This reminded me of what she wrote in her novel # 238 pg. 200, that this is the psyche of an old bachelorette and exactly how one would behave.

She's one of my favorite authors and I have the utmost repect for her (both her literary skill and as a person), so I sincerely hope that I'm just reading too much into this and she's still living a happy married life.
