This is a good book! Finally from her, but it also makes me think if this is really from 亦舒, because it is so much
different than her last five years books. I have every single book from her, and I can tell this one is different. But I still like you-
亦舒.

I literally grew up with yee shu. I love the way she migrates from one phase of story-telling to the next. This one is a break-through. She gave the modern love story a very true assessment. The love story between older women and younger men are getting more common. I can relate so much about the nuisances for a single older women in the modern world. In this story, the main character is truthful to herself and to the readers about her inner thoughts and her weakness in the dating worlds. Sometimes I wonder if yee shu has friends like me or she interviews working women to get insights like those in her book! Yes, the book also explores about physical part of romance and I think there is nothing wrong to be expressive about it. It is all part of it.

Very disappointing compared to her last 3 novels Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
Definitely not one of her better ones (if indeed she wrote it as I have my doubts, being a long time fan of her novels). First her trademark wit and humor are nowhere to be found, and the main characters don't elicit any empathy at all, which almost never happens in her novels (no matter how flawed the main characters are). Then there's the wishy-washy ending which seemed to have been written by a high school student, very uncharacteristic of the author. Finally this is probably the most risque novel under her name; I'm not a prude but some passages seem to be so out of place; again very atypical of the author's style. First time in quite a while that I felt money/time wasted; her last 3 novels are masterpieces by comparison... :-(
