Seo Tai Ji Vol. 7
May 16, 2005 Amazingthis CD literally amazed me. i mean... it's Seo Taiji - so you know you cant go wrong with it, but it's still not what i was expecting. ^^ it's excellent. every single song reaches up to Taiji's full patential and just leaves you yearning for more and more... even the Intro and Outro tracks were great, and verrry beautiful.
whenever i feel upset, this CD never fails to get me up and do something about it -- even though a majority of the songs are rock/punk, he still sings a few ballads like Track 9, October 4th, which are VERY beautiful and almost completely worth all your money. ^^ the ONLY bad thing i have to say about this CD is the length... that's it. i mean... 12 tracks and just BARELY going over 30 minutes isnt very good. heh.
Most Recommended: October 4th, Heffy End, F.M. Business, and Zero.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
I' m waiting 4 you (Japan Version)
January 25, 2005 Beautifuli must admit that when i first saw this CD, i wasnt sure if it would be that great. i bought their third album, 'Crystallize' and it didnt really stand out to me. it felt as though Garnet Crow had lost their beauty and that unique feeling they gave each other their songs on the first two albums.
"I'm Waiting 4 You" simply AMAZED me. 0_0 The music has matured so much and become even better than all the great accomplishments from the past. Each song has its own style, but also still has the traditional Garnet Crow mellowness all throughout them. Piano/Keyboard and acoustic guitar are the main instruments used, as usual - and yet Garnet Crow STILL managed to make their music sound beautiful and completely different from songs in the past. i PROMISE you will love this album. it's definitely their best - i guess Garnet Crow completely prooved me wrong when i thought they couldnt get any better.
i must say the songs that stood out most to me on the album were: (3)Wasurezaki, (5)U, (6)Fill A Way, (7)bokura dake no mirai, (11)Picture of World, and (12)Sky.
^^ it's a beautiful album that i dont think ANY jpop fan should go without!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Cherry Filter vol.2 - Made in Korea?
January 9, 2005 vocals no one can beat...i found out about Cherry Filter from their song "Independent You", featured on this album. Since then i've been addicted.
Youjeen, the lead singer, has one of the best voices that i've ever heard. not only does she balance out the perfect emotion for each and every song, but can hit high notes like you wouldnt believe -- then can go very low. she definitely has an awesome rock voice. she can play piano very good, too. the other members of the band: Son Star, Woo Jin. J, and YaenheaD are all extremely talented, too. the guitars and drums sound great. ^_^
Cherry Filter is known to be a hard rock/punk group, but that isnt all they write. each song sounds different. some ARE hard rock, while others are soft ballads -- this cd definitely has a wide variety of styles. i think Volume 2 is probably their best CD out of all three... each and every one of the band members gives their all - and it shows.Did you find this review helpful?
