Winning the Popularity Award at the 45th Baeksang Arts Awards, Yoon A received much critical acclaim for her first leading role performance as the drama's heroine who tries to adjust to a new life after undergoing a traumatic eye surgery. You Are My Destiny garnered high ratings throughout its 178-episode run from May 2008 to January 2009.

Cheerful orphan Sae Byuk (Yoon A) is able to start life anew after receiving an eye cornea transplant. The family of her donor (Kim Hyo Seo), the Kims, gradually welcome her into the family.
