Every summer NTV holds the telethon charity event 24 Hour Television Special, bringing together artists, comedians, and idols together for a 24-hour marathon show that includes many special performances, variety challenges, and a touching special mini-drama. For the 2006 edition of 24 Hour Television, Johnny's group KAT-TUN served as the main personalities/hosts, and member Kamenashi Kazuya starred in the special drama Yuki along with Oguri Shun, Yuka, and Yamaguchi Tatsuya. Based on a true story, Yuki revolves around a young man suffering from an extremely rare and incurable skull deterioration disease. After receiving a 23-hour surgery, he fights to resume a normal life with the support of his friends and family, and takes on the challenge of participating in a marathon.

"ワーキングホリデー"を利用してオーストラリアに渡り、青春を謳歌していたユウキは、身体に異常を感じ、帰国後に自分が難病に侵されていることを知った。オーストラリアで共に働いた仲間たちは、ユウキの病気を知り、次々に見舞いにやってくる。仲間たちから気力をもらったユウキは、23時間に及ぶ大手術を受けて成功。なんとフルマラソンに挑戦し、みごとなタイムで完走するのだが…。
2006年の"24時間テレビ"にて放送された、愛と命の輝きをテーマにしたスペシャル・ドラマ。岸川悦子の「ユウキ・世界で8番目のたたかいに勝った男の物語」をベースに、頭蓋骨の一部が溶けていくという世界でも例のない病気と闘った若者と、彼の周囲の人間たちとの絆が描かれ、好評を博した。難病に立ち向かう青年を、亀梨和也が好演。優香や小栗旬、山口達也など、共演陣にも豪華な顔ぶれが揃っている。
