    July 16, 2009 Whoa... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I'm reviewing for the US release.
With FFVII Advent Children Complete, there are so many improvements! The graphics, the detail, the voice acting... as well as the extended or added scenes.

When I first saw AC in English, I was cringing the whole time. Don't deny it, most of the voice actors brought no life to the characters, and it was painfully obvious that the dubbing was off. As well, the story had almost no backbone. I mean, even I played and beat FFVII for the PlayStation over and over, but that still left me confused as to what the actual plot line was.

With Complete, you experience Denzel's story; how he was orphaned and how he came to live with Cloud and Tifa. Flashbacks of Zack happen more often, with several cut scenes from Crisis Core. Also, added dialogue and extra scenes (which look TERRIFFIC, if I do say so myself) help with forming the story of Advent Children, and play it out much more easier for a person who has never played FFVII before. Aside from adding story, may I just say that the added scenes are just freakin' awesome? Eye candy that you could watch over and over again.

Moving on to detail, which I found critics complained about the most. There is battle wounds, ladies and gents! BATTLE WOUNDS! When Reno gets socked in the face by Loz, his nose is bleeding! haha.
Oh, and I won't mention anything about the battle with Sephiroth... it's just too darn EPIC to describe right now, you gotta see it for yourselves.

Luckily, I own a PS3, and was able to watch the glorious re edited version of AC. It belongs on BlueRay, not only are the new scenes stunningly beautiful and realistic, but the original scenes have been polished to perfection.
Most of the scenes were re dubbed and are watchable now, and for that I was grateful.

IHFUWGJ OMG, what are you waiting for? go buy this movie! It'll blow you away, i guarantee ;D

I don't like reviewing before i buy it, but i must say something...
TABOO is like... friggin' amazing! I was super disapointed in Moon Crying, and i didn't like Kingodm either, so I was crossing my fingers and praying that this would be awesome.
And it totally is! I got up and started dancing when I first heard this, I dance every time I hear it now lol, so catchy :D

And, please people, don't be hating on Funky Monkey, who makes a great point.
Really people, not even 20 seconds into the PV and she's kissing girls. I was a bit ashamed watching the video... but you know, I can't bring myself to hate Kuu, instead, i love the PV. It's hot! I felt bad when a friend
of mine watched it before me, and she was complaining and "gagging" -_- she didn't even finish watching it. lol

whoa, this isn't a review anymore, sorry for getting off track.

any way, about Always, a nice track. but thats it really, nice. it does remind me of "Dear Family" but it also reminds me of "Lady Go" for some... weird reason, although it's a ballad. Also sounds like Koi no Tsubomi :P Nothing special with it really.
I may submit another eview when i get the single.

    cheers

    August 20, 2008 Well... Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
When I got this, I wasnt expecting much, I havent been a fan of BoA's new stuff.
And to me, this didnt deliver much. Aggressive is good, very very good. Dancy, which is what we should expect out of our dance queen.
    Sweet Impact is great too.
i'll say that i liked this album, but I dont listen to it as much as... say, Girls On Top, or My Name. Is this the "new style" that people are talking about? I guess it took me awhile to not like it. cause if you look at Outgrow, you'll see all the bad reviews people gave her, while I thought Outgrow was nice.
Thats all this album is: nice. I listen to it when I draw, you know, just a noise so it's not quiet.

But, i gave this CD an 8 because of the atmosphere of it. Although half of the songs are crappy, when you listen to them, you can tell it's BoA, its new, different, and thats okay.

lol i'm totaly contradicting myself here.

    May 28, 2008 Rock 'n Roll indeed Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I'm honestly surprised that there are no reviews for any of Yasu's stuff yet.
[Reviews Note: I haven’t gotten the english translation for these songs, this review is about the MUSIC, not the lyrics]
Black List... for a debut album, I see no flaws (for a man who succeeded in music before, what else could you expect?). As a whole, this CD rocked me to no end. I had to listen to each track all the way through, twice... then play Murder License again (haha)

Sins, track one. The guitar in the beginning sounds like an over used rhythm in many rock songs. Then the guitar disappears as a synthesizer and keyboard intertwine together for a truly original, eerie sound. Yasu's voice switches back and forth from being muffled on the verses back to normal on the chorus. He confirms his sins and challenges Jesus.. I don't want to say a "typical" rock song, it is very good, I just don’t appreciate the lyrics very much (like many rock songs)

Shoujo no Inori is a fast pace, confusing track. The speed of it reminds me of a pop song, and the chorus sounds like something you would find in a racing video game (or anime). The beginning sounds like a controlled mess before the electric guitars appear, with a pattern of a short scale climbs up or down, the last note hanging with a screech, very cool. At the end of the song a synth sounds that reminds me of the beat in Sins.

SPELL MAGIC! Oh please guys, go read my review for that single... I'm so not reposting that long thing.

Talk about a song. Scars makes you want to think about the past, and stay there. The beat reminds me of the B-side for SPELL MAGIC. Scars could defiantly be considered a rock ballad, it's very nice. With instruments that work with it, I hear a xylophone, keyboard, bass guitar.. either a cello or a violin... Both I think. Of course the electric guitar. A sooth addition to Black List.

Aishitenai... man I love this song. It's so touching, so sad too. Yasu truely is a romantic, even his natural voice sounds so full of real emotion. Aishitenai (I Don't Love You) explains the feelings of a man (perhaps Yasu), I want to say a "tough" man, who's not used to showing his feelings, when he meets the love that shows him how. "I'm not crying... I'm doing it quietly...
Ahh... It's already no good... I love you...
I can't say good bye..." Perhaps my favorite line's in the whole piece ^_^
The instruments complete the feel of love here, makes me sway...

Bit Stupid... the only song on the album I didn't like. It sounds too much like bubble gum pop to me (:P) I wish I knew the lyrics to this... maybe it's a parody (I wish) But from the rhythm (and the quick english words) it sounds like another love song. I think i hear a trumpet in this song... and a recorder... a bit techno... yes, this is really for a Kirby video game.

Rakuen!! My second favorite song in Black List. Any song that makes me knock my head everywhere is a song for me. I hear an acoustic guitar strings with a synth keyboard together, sounds so cool. The guitars and heavy drums blend together to form a dark, novel sound. More synth, I’m sure every song has it.

When Black Cherry starts out, it's a very nice, jazzy number. Reminds me of something you would here in an old bar (like in the movies) Yasu ends on a note, and suddenly the electric guitar, quite literaly, invades and takes over the whole feel of quiet, homey jazz. Though after awhile of electric madness, the trumpets pop up again, and it's so much like a Swing dance song. I've never heard anything like it. The guitar solo at the bridge is something envy. "Black Cherry, motto" The lyrics are questionable, but initially is a pent up... "fling"

Murder License... ah, the easiest best track on Black List. The sound i hear in the beginning... I want to say it's a synth. Whatever it is, it gives the song more definition and a techno-rock feel (though this track is far from techno). The heavy electric guitar explains what "Rock" truly is.
The constant line "break down!" really does add dramatic effect to the song (is that possible?) God, i love this track. Listen to it first if you are willing to get it.

Fuyu no Maboroshi... anyone see the PV for that? (lol) another Rock Ballad, the drums are hit slowly, emphasizing sadness and a sluggish move. As if giving up on something. It is kinda sad, a love has died, Yasu wonders if miracle could happen, if he could see her again.

DRAGON CARNIVAL... reminds me of a song to go with Full Metal Alchemist. (haha) very bouncy, but not poppy (God no) like a happy song after the battle, cheers one up to an extent. The melody is a keyboard in a distant back ground of electric guitars (in the chorus) very nice, good to listen to on a car ride.

Prologue End starts out with a nice, sad piano melody that carries out throughout the song. With a violin that threatens to break out every now and then. then a hit of drums and electric guitars, the piano still going strong. The rock instruments are used to emphasis a point (which i don't know... cant understand enough Japanese) Near the end the piano has a long solo. A perfect end to Black List

I'm gunna go listen to it again. :)

January 16, 2008 Just try it Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I've never heard of Janne Da Arc when i picked up SPELL MAGIC (recomended to me by a friend) i assumed this was a new band (i mean, Acid Black Cherry sounds like a bands name) anyways...
I was so blown away by SPELL MAGIC. The lyrics didnt even pop into my head while i was listening to it, just the awesome beat. Heavy electic guitar is used here, and the synthesizer sounded great along with it. Yasu's voice is completely something else, i just love listening to him. The only thing that trowns me off in Spell Magic is it's lyrics. two words: "Oh... My" there just so bluntly raunchy, but also so very sexy. It's the way he writes and works his way around the words that make it sound like poetry lol.
シャイニン・オン君が哀しい is a lovely track though. It reminds me of smooth jazz, but Yasu still uses his strong voice. It is a soft song, and i'll admit, it took time to get used to, but now i definatly love it.

Just two songs got my into ABC, now im buying all of Yasu's stuff! haha, its great, definatly pick it up if your a fan of Jrock, or just need something new to listen too :)

why is everyone seem to be disapointed? i have to say myself, the begining 'shake it' was horrible, absolutly by far. But i loved every other one after that, especially the single mix, thats my favorite one. The ~intro~ get down... ugh! nasty, i hated that. But, she's acts mature, and the dance moves are great, she sings great too. the only part where she didnt sing much was in shake it. The extras are entertaining, and its just really cool to watch. i cant help myself. haha, but im not disapointed, im glad i bought it.

July 19, 2006 English ver.: horrible Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
well, not too horrible. I saw the Japanese version first, and i thought it was great, i was watching it over and over again. But, when I saw the English, i was upset. Not only is the dubbing lame, but the voice actors sound like they arent even intrested.
But, the action and the graphics obviously make up for that... I just belive it was a waste of money if you bought the japanese version, and the english... well, i shall always watch it in japanese. yup yup

Kaze no naka e (into the wind) is a cool song i think... it has a very odd dance beat. is this really suposed to be miroku, shippo, and sango singing? all i hear is miroku and shippo. Miroku is the the one singing the front the whole time. (which by the way has a great singing voice!) i hear shippo in the backgound.. but, i cant hear Sango! ahh! The song itself is very cute... its like, Miroku is singing to Sango... i always go 'Aww' when i listen to this song (lol)

I LOVED IT! whew.. this was my first Gackt album.. and im an instint fan from the first song, which is misty. even though its an instumental, i loved it. farewell is awesome! the end to Misty is like the intro to the next song. Noesis is so beutiful... my translation is pretty bad, but i believe its something like death.. i love it all! i listened to the whole cd when i got it... to good to skip tracks! The pictures in the lyric book are so awesome! i look at it over and over again... but, of course, the problem with the lyric book is, its to thick, it falls apart easily... 2 pages have already fallen out, with another coming out... so, that sucks...BUT! the music is so awesome!! i say buy it, and be happy. ^-^

This is the coolest Sango action figure ive ever seen! I love the glossy efects of the clay, and it looks so much like Sango, its a little scary... It's a perfect pose, and it comes with a lil kirara... what else could you ask for?
well, i would give it a 10/10, but i give it a nine for the price... seriously, the figure looks wicked sweet, but C'mon! im dieing here! The prices at anime stores in the mall have action figures there for $13... but you wont find this there... so, i guess its your only hope... hey, if i had $43, i would by this faster than you can say...

March 3, 2006 Fun Fun Fun Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
This game is probably nothing but fun! You get to battle with your favorite characters, against the evil one...like...Kikyo...
This Game kinda reminded me of Soul Calibur, you fight someone, then fight another. The game is really short, and gets boring after a while. Whats funny tho, is guessing who is yelling something every time you go to the main menue ^^
well, not much to say about it, A big step-up from The secret of the cursed mask, this game is way better if you didnt like it, and if you did like the cursed mask, well, i guess you'll love this one.
for fans, i give it a 8.7 out of 10, for the original gamer, i give it a 7 out of 10... it just seemd like another fighting game.

March 3, 2006 Very Nice Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I was never really into sweetbox, i had heard Real emotion, and 1000 words, but i didnt want to get into it. But one day, my friend let me listen to Jade, and i fell in love with her voice and music!
This is my first sweetbox album, and lemme say this, it was definatly worth the money!
The first track, Liberty was an automatic favorite! It's very upbeat, and gives a good message.
one of the tracks i didnt like on this, was Hate without Frontiers... i find it kinda anoying, and i didnt really wanna hear it again... But Jade makes up for that, with, Everybody (a song meaning to let go of your feelings, even after the death of someone) Chyna Girl, this song acctually grows on you, it sounded kinda weird at first, but now i love it! (lol)I love Lacrimosa, its such a beutiful, song, its mixed with a slow beat, and rocky tune.
    real Emotion and 1000 words are just...wow! if you've played FFX-2, u know what i mean! ;)
all in all, great album, definatly her best. if your new to sweetbox, get this one first. you wont be disapointed!

February 24, 2006 Perfect for a first album Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
i never really liked Matchbox 20... i got into Rob Thomas, b/c of Lonley No More... i acctually just bought the album, for that song! (haha) a waste of money? No way! i was so happy with the album, i became an instint RT fan!
The 1st song, is This is How A Heart Breaks, a very upbeat, and meaningful-kinda song. and instant fav. then, next is Lonley no More (still my fav.) I didnt really like the 3rd, which is Ever The Same, its a lil country for me... and the MV is just plain weird...
Basically, this whole album is about love! (except Something to Be) Which is kinda annoying, but, the art behind it really gets to ya. He ends the album with a very sad song, with no instroments, but a piano, which he plays himself. The song is called Now comes the Night. its a song about death! It's a nice way to end a album.. full of fast, upbeat songs!
to sum it all up, If you are a fan of Matchbox 20, get the album! If your a fan of love songs, get the album! If your looking for something to spend your money on, BUY THIS ALBUM! it is great, even im not a big fan on American music, this is just great!

of course, Kumi fans will be buying this like crazy... but i can tell this is gunna be the BEST album yet! I loved all the 12 singles, and i was hoping she would put them in a CD... haveing the PV's for each song is a extra bonus! And its great for me, because if you missed her Best ~First Things~ tour, you can get the CD/2DVD and get the DVD of the entire tour! (Awesome)
Now then, I would recomend this to new Ku fans, as well as the first Best.
    Needless to say, i've already pre-ordered ;)
